Staff were super friendly and helpful. Love the vintage staircase - gives the hotel that rare, not too corporate feel. Comfy, quiet room. Coffee shop on first floor was a MAJOR plus. The welcome drink was nice too & our bartender was a real deal nice guy.

A central location, close to Boston Commons, Historic Landmark and lots restaurants/cafes. Hotel is in the heart of downtown theater district. The hotel staff were amazing (attentive and friendly). You're immersed in the sounds of the city yet comfortably settled into a cozy room when its time to turn in.

Brilliant location - a few minutes walk to Boston Common and subway - and in the heart of theatre land with great bars and restaurants. Staff were brilliantly friendly and efficient - only negative point was the very noisy air conditioning.

Amazing property! Everything was immaculately kept, staff was welcoming and friendly, and the amenities were great for a big city boutique hotel. Perfect location to everything as well! Highly recommend.

The valet parking was excellent in the congested downtown area. Even though we were not able to use them, staff provided free drink tickets and was very friendly.

Nice hotel, greeted at the door and treated with excellent customer service throughout. The room was bright, very clean, comfortable bed and great coffee facilities. The amount of clothes storage space was disappointing, my wife and I had to use our suitcase for some items. I was disappointed that when checking in I was not reminded about city tax as this came as a surprise. The hotel response was it’s on your online booking. Apart from that I would recommend staying here

The hotel was very well located to shopping and food venues. It was also located down the street from the Red line and Orange line T stations which made getting around easy. The only complaint was my room location. I was on the second floor with a view of a busy street. The noise on Friday and Saturday night made it very hard to sleep. Next stay I will ask for a room on a higher floor.

Great location. Staff was wonderful. Beautiful hotel. Would have been nice to have a mini fridge and ice machine didn’t work on our floor so had to go two floors up to find some. Also was supposed to get an upgrade in room as it was a VIP hotel and that didn’t happen. Overall great stay but maybe a little pricey for the room I had (view of a wall out the windows).

On the plus side, the rooms are nicely appointed and very clean, and the door staff and front desk staff were friendly. On the downside, the area around the hotel can be sketchy, the rooms are very small and the elevators were slow as they only have 4 at it was a full house. The $47 per day "resort fee" is unjustifiable. It does not even include providing secure internet access, so I had to incur data charges to use my phone as a hotspot for secure business communications. The other "included" items are a joke - like allowing you to use the built-in safe in your room, housekeeping, ordinary coffee pods for the coffee maker in your room -- all stuff you get for free at a Motel 6. For that reason alone, I will not stay at another Godfrey.

The hotel was quiet and comfortable. The room was of adequate size for two and the bed was comfortable. Their special touches for those visiting during the marathon made the stay even more impressive.

Nice boutique hotel. Room does not have fridge or microwave, but these are provided upon request. The only issue reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 for Property Condition and Facilities was the the ice machine on 5th floor was broken and they had some type of water leak in several rooms on floors 2-7, so there was work being done and there were dehumidifiers in the halls and rooms that they were being repaired.

Very close to everything for the Boston Marathon. You can walk everywhere you need to go. Staff went above and beyond for customer service. The complimentary snacks and water bottles in the room was an amazing touch. Also they give gifts to the runners of the marathon. If they dont have something in your room you would like (mini refrigrator) , ask the front desk and they will quickly have it to you. Amazing service.

The employees at the Godfrey all bend over backwards to make your experience here amazing. The rooms are well appointed and have all the extras that you don't find most places any more outside of BNBs. The only drawback we found here is the pillows were thin and soft. The bed itself was great. The location and bar and nearby restaurants were fabulous. We will absolutely return!

I was charged a $250 deposit and normally a deposit is in case you order room service but they don’t have that I have no idea why I was charged that much deposit when they don’t offer any food or room service the connecting restaurant wouldn’t deliver and I couldn’t get a table I’m very upset I
