"Yes, unfortunately the ground floor bar was not stocked well. No port, dram or cognac. Also could have done with a stain remover wipe too - asked at reception but did have them. "
"I stay at the Ibis every few months when travelling internationally. Everything was to a high standard as usual. This time there was an automatic check in which although it was fairly easy to use, I do like checking in to a hotel with a real person who can answer questions. There were a couple of staff at the counter which every person checking in needed their help."

"Spectacular views, clean, excellent communication by the staff online and in reception. Lovely reception staff. Parking is available for a fee which is well worth it. We got a little lost each time trying to find the car with all the different lifts which isn’t a big deal.
The lifts are fast which is good for most people, but sadly wasn’t ideal for the adults like us who experience vertigo, as with the movement of the building. Kids had a ball."
"It was located in a good spot with a quick walk to the bus station. They didn't change the towels or bedding with the room service. The service from the front desk staff was very professional and kind, the restaurant though had staff playing loud music while guests were eating and were on their phones quite a bit."
"We loved our stay at The Star. Although it was a Monday night, the rooftop Sky Deck was full of people and the views just stunning!
Room was gorgeous, recommend the river view (the higher up the better!)
We had dinner at Dark Sheppard and were well looked after by the team.
Would definitely do a little staycation again at The Star!"
