Price is very reasonable. Room is big and has good air-conditioning esp with the weather being hot and humid. Just make sure you bring shampoo and body wash since they dont provide them.

The place was conveniently near Nyugati train station as well as the Parliament and other main attractions. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. Ï would consider some problems with the stay during Summer as it may get very noisy with windows opened but at this time of year it was very calm and silent.

I would recommend this places only for young people looking to party. The hostel is above a night club and it tends to be very loud. So don’t expect to have so much to sleep. Also you listen when Someone is leaving or getting in with the wheels of their bags. We had two rooms. The first one had everything ok except the lights behind the bed didn’t turn out. The second didn’t had curtains so you could see the lights outside. Although the staff was extremely nice, helpful and excellent service, also it has a great location. But I would recommend jt only for youngsters or party people.

The hostel is in a good location. It is also great for young people who go to Budapest to party. But, if you are just looking for a place to rest your head for the night, do not go here. It is right over a nightclub and the rooms are hot, so the window must be open. The beds do not have any kind of privacy screens, so everyone who comes in in the middle of the night and turns on their personal light wakes the entire room. Also, it's over a nightclub. This was not stressed when I booked the room. If you are a young 20-something who likes staying up until dawn, enjoy. If not, look elsewhere.

Stayed in a private room with a friend and unfortunately it was quite warm. Check in was also confusing because the front desk thought the room was already full. After ten minutes of trying to find a different solution, he went and checked the room and it was available. Otherwise it was cheap and not far from many of the sights in Budapest.

Great but a couple of small issues
Great hostel, however there is a nightclub downstairs that is shared with the hostel and not mentioned that you can hear through the night and also does not have the laundry that is mentioned

Nice hotel close to the city centre and Urban! But on Saturdays, they organize parties in their bar on the 1st floor. So, we can hear the music in our roon, but if you are completely tired as we were, you just fall asleep without taking care, haha!

The room was not as nice as the rooms pictured. A bit drab and scuff marks on the wall. Good bathroom but you have to pay a deposit and receive towels. There is a nightclub on the ground floor but we were not disturbed by it in the evening. Overall it was ok for a budget hostel option.

I enjoyed my stay at Full moon hostel. I had a private room with a bathroom, it was small, but functional. The AC worked grwat. Overall nice, inexpensive hostel.

We stayed there for 3 nights. The beds were very comfortable and they were pre-made which was nice because that's usually such a long process. The music downstairs was very loud; however, I knew that there was a bar/club there I just didn't think we would be so close to it. I wish they told you what room you would be in when you booked so you could request a room further away. Other than that, everything was perfect. It was very clean. Bathroom facilities were nice. I wish towels were included but that is never the case sadly. The staff was nice and welcoming until I couldn't find my receipt for my towel then one of them was kind of rude. When you check in you get a free entrance ticket to the club which was convenient. It would have been cool if you got a free bus pass ticket for your stay because figuring out where to buy tickets was sometimes a bit challenging.

Identify to the bouncers that you are staying in the Hostel. The main floor is a Bar/Pub Electronic Music Club. NOISE to 630am in the morning. If you are a light sleeper, I do not recommend. I adapted after one night. First night I became a night owl. Subsequent nights I was too tired and slept through the noise. There is a modern kitchen with large refrigerator. Overall I had a pleasant stay here. But you have to adapt to the noise & the ventilation if your window faces the inside courtyard where the Club is playing loud music.

Nice hotel, but unclean conditions ! Bed Bugs !
I certainly WON'T be staying at this place again, as I got bitten all over by bed bugs on my first night there. Booked a 3 night stay with some friends, so we were all sharing a room (room 213). Everything seemingly went well, but on the first night I got bitten all over by bed bugs. The next day started OK, but by the end of the day, the bites had appeared, and I was covered in red, swollen bumps. I then inspected my mattress when I got back, and sure enough, there was a colony of them right underneath my mattress. The other guys in the same room though were unaffected, so maybe I just had the 1 unlucky mattress. Apart from that, the hotel was actually pretty good. Good WiFi, good location, and the staff were as helpful as they could be. They moved us to another room when I showed them my bites. However, what should have been a great trip catching up with friends in an awesome city was ruined for me. The bites were so bad (and visible), that I didn't leave the hotel for the last 2 days we were there.

Great location but very noisy hostel!
The location is amazing, perfect to visit the attractions walking. Free tickets to enjoy the night club downstairs. Nice and cheap bbq restaurant near by! The room (for 2 people) is huge! I didn’t like 2 things in the hostel, the shower is small and you have to press the valve every 20 seconds to keep the water on, the night club in the ground floor plays very loud music and even in the highest floor you can listen while you try to sleep.

Amazing place to stay, friendly staff, great location, very clean, modern, very nice water pressure in the shower, comfortable bed and didn't hear any noise from the other rooms next door unlike most places where you can hear every word people say. Becareful of bed bugs!!
We arrived very late at night, but when we woke up, we were very itchy and realised the bed were full of bed bugs. We killed at least 7 bed bugs that were full of blood. Immediately asked to change room & the receptionist was kind to do so.

Great hostel, friendly staff, great location.
We really enjoyed our stay. The hostel was in a great location (close to tram lines) and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room had a lovely balcony and view. The facilities and the room were clean, although there was a bit of a weird smell from the drain in the bathroom (but that probably cannot be helped so much). There was a huge Halloween party the night we checked in, but we had no problem with falling asleep (couldn't hear it from our room).

Good size rooms with night club music all night
Room size was good for the number of beds, on-suite bathroom was a good deal but the shower was broken. Security to the room was very good (key fob). The building hosts a big night club right in the first floor and the music goes on and on until late night making it difficult to sleep (earplugs is a must) as the noise gets to every single room. One of the girls (young blonde) at the front desk was extremely rude and unfriendly (for a hostel).

What is visible is nice, what about the unseen ?
The lounge area and common areas that are open are clean but the lounge area bathroom always smelled of urine and my room had many broken and unfixed things. The shower head was broken, the bathroom door was broken, and there is a club attached to the hostel which makes it difficult to sleep. You can easily hear the loud music and loud people. If these few things are fixed than it can be a 5 out of 5

Very very noisy as our room are facing the street. No good sleep since we were awake many times by ambulance bi-bu noise & the full power of the car's noise. Although from their website mentions the room has been renovated, the shower got nowhere to put soap. The shower came off the bracket couple of times & almost hit my head. No hot water for shower, only slightly warm. Wifi was on & off. Night club is on the ground floor which adds noise & security concern.

Central location, helpful staff
I staye at the Full Moon Hostel for 5 nights and had a great time! The lobby was full of flyers for all different kinds of events that take place in the city. The staff was very helpful explaining the public transportation and how to sign up for events. I was afraid it would be loud at night from the club downstairs but on the second floor I slept soundly and could barely hear a thing. The club (Morrisons 2) was so much fun and was packed every night. The only thing I would complain about was that the room did not look like the pictures advertised on the website but it was still clean and comfortable. Walking distance from many restaurants, metro, tram and all the crucial sights to see in Budapest. Would definitely go back!!

You pay for what you get
We stayed here 2 nights. My boyfriend and I had a private room with an ensuite bathroom. It would have been a good room if the blinds worked. The room was super loud because it faced a main street and super bright since there were no drapes! There is a night club attached to the hostel. I knew this when booking so i expected that to effect my sleep. It actually wasnt as bad as i thought. The staff were helpful and friendly. A little far from the places we wanted to be but public transportation was easy and close by.

Nice place to party n sleep
Well it's a nice funky hotel for youngsters who want to party .. Not recommended for early risers or elderly people ...no towel in the room .. But if you pay a deposit you will get one .. There is a series of staircase to get to the elevator on the first floor so if you have heavy luggage be prepared ..also a nightclub in the same building .. But i think just to sleep the night a great place very helpful reception and freshly painted walls rooms are clean and location great if you are a party person this is it ..go to morison club downstairs have a free entry and party the night away and then climb a level up and your in your room .. What else could you want ?

Really enjoyed it though the music from the club below was quite loud at night. Also, the rooms were great but I was on the top bunk and could see cobwebs above and behind the bed so could maybe just be cleaned a bit more thoroughly.
