"My wife and I are visiting Cusco from Dallas, Texas. We had a wonderful stay. The host spoke English and was very kind and helpful. He showed us how to operate the appliances. There was hot water in the shower, a gas stove, washing machine, refrigerator, TV with Netflix (big plus), and electric portable space heater (another big plus). "We had a very pleasant stay at Los Portales Hotel in Cusco. The location is excellent, within easy walking distance of the main square, shops, restaurants, and many of the city’s attractions, making it a great base for exploring. The staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The included breakfast was a nice bonus and provided everything we needed to start the day before heading out to explore. The room was comfortable, clean, and well-equipped, and we especially appreciated having a heater, which was very welcome during Cusco’s cooler mornings and evenings. The only issue we noticed was that the window in our room was positioned unusually low, which felt like a potential safety concern. Aside from that, we had a very enjoyable stay and would happily recommend Los Portales Hotel to others visiting Cusco."

"The staff were great. The hotel was clean. At times, the noise outside can be heard inside the room but it’s not that bad. However, its amenities are so basic. There is no hair dryer in the room. The continental breakfast is served to you at your table. You can’t go around and choose what you want to eat. But they served fresh fruits, sandwiches and omelette. I appreciate that they made a chicken sandwich for my husband without the mayonnaise. You might find out that the reception area may be closed at times but there is a doorbell you can ring so you can get in. They have a shuttle to the airport for a fee but Miguel said the shuttle is free to pick you up from the airport. The price is affordable."
