I flew in from TX. The hotel arranged to have me picked up (free) outside the terminal. My flight arrived more than an hour late, but the driver (Mohammed) waited for me until almost midnight. On the drive to the hotel he gave me a tour of Cairo as we drove along the highway. Very friendly guy! It was nice to feel welcome when first arriving in a new country for the first time.
The room was clean and tidy. The bed was firm and the comforter kept me at the perfect temp to let me sleep after such a long flight.
After the tour of my room I was taken up to the rooftop. The view of the pyramids was breathtaking, their silhouettes dark against the night sky.
Rooms are very reasonably priced, especially considering their proximity to the Pyramids. The ticket booth for the Giza plateau is literally less than 5 min away by foot.
The hotel staff are all very kind and welcoming. It’s best to book your tours through the hotel to avoid dealing with outside folks, many of whom will try to overcharge you.
Breakfast is served on the rooftop cafe, which has a stunning view of the pyramids and Sphinx. It’s a spectacular way to watch the sunrise. Scrambled eggs with vegetables, shishkebab, potatoes, falafel, fresh fruits, baked goods, cheese, etc. The spread of food was impressive, especially considering it was free!
Someone from the staff always asked if I needed anything each time I returned to the lobby during my stay. It clearly matters to them in a genuine way that people enjoy
