The Rockwell 2-bedroom apartment we stayed in had all the facilities which we wanted - two bedrooms, two bathrooms with a bath and a shower, plus good kitchen facilities for self-catering - oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, plus washing machine and dryer.
However, the location of the hotel on a busy main road, and next to a 24- hour petrol station means that there is constant noise, cars, people shouting to each-other, and the fact that the door to our balcony did not close, meant that we had very little sleep.
Although the cleaners come in daily, it was hit or miss whether they did a full clean, and it has certainly been a long time since a thorough clean has been done - tablets, leftover bottle tops, dust, dirt, on the floors in the bedroom and bathroom.
Poor internet service - no internet for the first three days, and when we reported this to the Receptionist - her response was "why are you telling me?"
In-room safe would not work for the duration of our stay - we had the handy-man in twice to try to repair it, and in the end he said he would have to order a new one.
No facility for a late check-out - we asked three days in advance if we could stay an hour or two later, happy to pay, apparently it was up to the discretion of the Duty Receptionist on the actual day to agree - you had to ring at 8 a.m. on the day, but no guarantee.
Limited engagement from the numerous staff who appeared disinterested in guests; even on checkout - not even a "thanks for staying/goodbye".
