"From the first moment we got to the property we agreed it with a smile and kindness and the excellent customer service skills that their crew had throughout the whole weekend was amazing! From checking in to checking out, there was a moment that we were not graded with a smile and asked if we needed anything. The property is absolutely beautiful and the rooms were top-notch! You did not feel crammed in them! The property and pool is beautiful and you have a beautiful view that ocean as you’re sitting by the fire pit and from a lot of of the rooms! I highly recommend this property as I believe you will enjoy your experience here. This is by far one of our favorite places to stay due to our experience this weekend."

"The staff was very kind and helpful but Motel 6/Studio 6 Carlsbad is not maintaining the property. Beds and pillows were uncomfortable, very old and lumpy. AC/Heater, some lights, phone, clock and TV didn't work. Pool hasn't worked for over 1 year. Kitchenette had no frying pan or spatula, also lacked the correct amount of dishes, cups, silverware and basic cooking supplies. The bathroom sink backed up and flooded the room, the water leaked to first level. All of the furniture was severely damaged and dirty, dead cockroaches and live ones were present. The sheets and duvet were thread barren and had holes. They ran out of blankets so we slept using our beach towels from home because we were cold. The following had to be requested and weren't in the room: paper towels, dish soap, sponge, Kleenex, shampoo and conditioner. Picture missing from room only the screws were left. Toilets don't flush well. They didn't sell snacks, water bottles or soda. Other guests stopped me in the hall, elevator, and parking lot to ask me how our room was and then shared the horrors of their rooms. Women talk!!!!!!!!!!!! The manager refunded $48 back to Expedia for us for the inconvenience and moved us to another room that wasn't flooded but it was as run down as the first room. LOCATION WAS PERFECT FOR LEGOLAND!!! But will never go to this hotel again. What a lost opportunity for the company.....diamond in the rough. "

"The property is so fun. They have a spa, heated pool, table tennis, cornhole and more. They have a restaurant as well. They have a small but very good snack place. They should add redbull to it though. Their coffee area is so yummy and I found myself sitting in the lobby have 2 cups every morning while I waited for my family to wake up. My favorite part about this property is the staff. Oh I loved the staff. By the time I left I really thought they were all my friends and family. The beach is right across the street. But just to observe. You will have to take a generous stroll or jump in the car to get to the place where you would spend the day. Easy to get to down town Carlsbad. We spent the day at Del Mar (total should), an hour or so at Oceanside and the rest enjoying the little town of Carlsbad. But they staff really made the property. Jay was amazing and my new bestie (can’t remember her name, but she’s got braids works the later shift and is faaaab). I’m a horrible new best friend. Anyways, stay here. So central but amazing. "
