However no where on the booking told us that there were no currency exchange options or ATM in the hotel. Luckily we had the exact amount of money otherwise we would’ve had to bus it back to a main area (20-40mins) to get cash to hire our ski gear. "We had a good stay at Furuhata, but there were a few inconveniences. The onsen was fantastic—nice and hot, perfect after a long day of skiing. Towels and kimonos were replaced daily, which was a great touch, and beds were made every two days. The price was reasonable, and the shuttle to the ski resort was convenient. However, there was no shuttle into town, bus station or train station and taxi options were nonexistent, which made getting around a bit tricky. There were only a few restaurants...
