"I have stayed at this property over seven times. The rooms are always clean and I love the balcony with ocean view from my one bedroom King suite!! I had the pleasure of meeting Kazzy at check in and she was very nice and helpful! I experienced one issue this time around with a young man trying to enter my room claiming he thought it was Rm.205 instead of Rm.305 I reported it to Kazzy and she assured me she would make a note in the system, but that didn't make me feel any safer. I also asked for late check out and it was rudely denied by Elena. I'm really considering not ever going back to what I call my Hidden Gem, based on this last experience."

"This was the 3rd time that I've stayed here. Perfect location to the beach, restaurants and shoppers. The room was small but clean. Quiet and the staff was very friendly. "

"We didn't have the breakfast. The staff seemed a little unprofessional and not very friendly. The front counter lady didn't smile one time. The bar tender was actually rude to my travel companion. She asked fir a napkin and he slid the napkins over to her rather than handing her one. Just seemed very unprofessional and a bit like she was bothering him. I did like our room location, and the room was actually pretty clean. We did like the free shuttle to the airport. The driver was very nice. Overall, I would recommend this place to a friend because of the value and location. I would probably stay here again. I hope they get friendlier employees though. "

"We were excited about Riptide since the photos of the rooms looked great & it’s right on the beach. The location on the beach is the ONLY positive aspect. They say parking is on site at $20/day, but what they don’t say until the night before you arrive is that there are only 4-5 parking spots. If you arrive late in the evening, you’ll have to park at a “gated” parking lot a few blocks away. By “gated” they mean an open lot with a simple crossing bar at the entrance. If I had been traveling alone I would have found it very dangerous for a single woman to park blocks away and walk alone in the dark to the hotel. The “gated parking” is also TINY. It was almost impossible to get our minivan in and out of the lot. The room was old and musty and not well cleaned. Sheets appeared dirty. Window is old- you can’t see the beach well (photos are deceptive online). Lots of people smoking W and doing other drugs around the property. We were in unit 28 which is upstairs. No elevator. No stairs on that side. Beds are very old/ uncomfortable. The staff are also extremely unhelpful. We lost an item of no real monetary value but has significant personal value. Once we realized the Riptide is where we left it (toddler pushed it under the bed) we asked if they found it. The clerk was less than helpful, obviously annoyed, and said if it was found, they would have just thrown it away (a book). I said it was under the bed so likely not even found yet. She didn’t offer to go look. Not a good place."

"Room was clean, Housekeeper gave me clean sheets and towels, noone was is the office. they send you code by email. The housekeeper was very nice. The room was super clean. Main issue is a women who lives upstairs, she is stone she and she was hanging around in the parking with some fishy men. But she was stone. She kept approaching me, and talking to me so, I travel solo I felt unsafe. The room was clean anfd the housekeeper guy was very nice."
