"The hotel is a great place to stay. Very sophisticated and clean. The location was excellent. The lobby and bar are lovely. Only negative is bathroom supplies are inadequate. Only one bar soap that had to be used for both washing hands and showering. Also no face washing towels."

"Comfortable rooms and convenient location. Staff were helpful and professional. It was easy to store our bags at the front desk after our early cruise-port arrival before our rooms were ready, and again after checkout before heading to the airport for our evening flight. We did experience a fair amount of street noise. Our room was on the side alley and in addition to late-night revelers walking by at all hours (especially on weekends), there were huge rattling/banging/scraping sounds for 15-20 minutes at a time in the middle of the night (taking the trash out? delivering/removing linens?). It presumably wasn't as loud as it would have been on a major street, but it did disrupt our sleep multiple times. (White noise apps on our phones helped!) We weren't able to get the A/C working the first night (so it was hot and stuffy, and we didn't have the white noise that the fan made, which was helpful for the outside noise). But the next morning, the desk clerk came up and fiddled with it and got it to work (very unintuitive; the unit turns off if you set it "too low"). We were worried about whether taxis would bring us there, after hearing other travelers' stories about access to the roads within the Gothic Quarter -- but we didn't have a problem, though one taxi did ask to drop us off at the top of the road (a very short walk away)."
