Was my boyfriend’s birthday celebration and they gave us a complimentary bottle of wine which was so nice. Great location. Parking too which is great in Hitchin. "We have stayed at DoubleTree many times. Reception staff are always welcoming. Evgenia is always friendly and helpful. She has checked us in on our last three visits.
As a side note, we have witnessed a guest being quite rude to her and she communicated with them in such a professional manner.
We sometimes request a room up-grade and the hotel has always been able to accommodate, even if it is for a specific room, so thank you House-keeping staff.
The hotel is clean and the rooms are always spotless.
The food in the Red Dot bar has always been served in good time and is always hot.
We dined in the Pitchside bar/restaurant on our last visit. The kitchen had an issue with the gas supply. We were kept informed regarding our food order (delay) and received extra portions when the food arrived - result!
We’re staying again this weekend - hope the kitchen has the same issue, ha ha ha.
