"The breakfast was always great. If you are looking for fun at a hotel, this is not the place. One outside bar closes at 5:00 p.m. The other bar at 11:00 p.m. No happy music at either bar. Gift shop was closed. Massage place was closed. We had the front desk call them to make an appointment. We would not stay there again. They charged us for a bottle of water from the room fridge. We never touched their sodas and water. Not a good experience at all."

"The people who worked there were so so nice. Especially Nadine at the spa/gym.. I use the gym every day and left behind my running headphones and she made an extra effort to make sure that they got back to me which was so much appreciated. Jorge at the indoor bar was amazing so friendly so kind Santiago at the pool he was our server who brought our drinks is such a hustler and quick and grateful… Our biggest complaint was the room had no hot water. I don’t think there was much that the property could do about it, but we asked the front desk a few times if they could look into it and they did send someone up, but it never got better. The water was lukewarm our first day the rest of the stay was cold, but the room was so beautiful. We stayed the room with the Jacuzzi on the deck, but never used it because of the water that was ice cold so that’s unfortunate. We were there during Cinco de Mayo and they had a great buffet outside, authentic, and the food was delicious. The staff who maintained our room each day was great, made so many fun little animals left on our bed with towels. It’s really fun to come back to, and our fridge was always stocked with drinks and water. The only thing I would say that needs to be improved when you check in if they can give you an idea of the restaurants, activities, the property highlights, explain those things to you. That was never explained to us. We kind of just have to figure out the property on our own. It would’ve been nice "

"The staff at this resort was amazing! They definitely do the best with what they have to work with. The pros ~ the food at Bordeaux was wonderful, the staff at Oceana were always amazing and our room was always fresh and necessities were always plentiful!! Unfortunately, the cons far surpassed the pros to this resort. We never had hot water during our stay with the exception of one morning at 7:00. Several other couples we met during our stay had been relocated to different buildings to accommodate lack of hot water as well. The public restrooms near Windows and also near the Preferred Club Lounge were kept clean but smell horribly of sewage. If you enjoy adult poolside activities and nightly entertainment, I highly recommend you stay elsewhere. We have been to countless all inclusive resorts and have never felt so pressured to make purchases within the resort from staff. I am not sure if this is typical of Hyatt owned properties, but multiple times every day we were approached about paying for something. We enjoyed our week and made the best of what was offered and I hate to give a negative review, but these are things that have definitely deterred me from looking into staying at any other Secrets/Hyatt resort in the future."
