"A little bit of a walk from the train, but that just gives you more time to take in the sites. Overall, this hotel is great. Aesthetically, it’s top notch. We loved our room and have been talking about it long after our stay. The only knock I’ll give is that the staff felt annoyed when we asked questions. They were very helpful, but sometimes felt reluctant while answering questions or assisting us. That said, I wouldn’t let that deter you from staying here. Next time we’re in Kyoto (and hopefully soon!), we’ll gladly rebook here. "

"It was a centrally located hotel, clean, and fairly quiet despite it being located in a busy area. I got two rooms for my family, and the family room was quite roomy, especially for a Japanese hotel."

"Amazing staff, great location for a secluded stay to clear your head. I recommend taking in the lake view from the onsen to catch a sunset or sunrise. Peaceful place. Thanks again!"
