Fantastic stay here -amazing diving and staff..brilliant diving guides - and weird critters eveywhere! Our only issue was the food..but we ended up walking to other nearby restaurants which was also great Thank you for a lovely time

The resort was not as big as expected. The wait for restaurant food was too long, but it tasted great. The beach was not as good for snorkeling.

Hello Yuting,How are you and thank you for your review. With only 12 rooms we don't pride ourselves to be a big property unlike the others. But this gives a more intimate ambiance wherein we can get to know our guests better. )Apologies for the long wait for the food, with our small kitchen, we do our best to meet the demands especially during the Chinese New Year when we were fully booked. Nonetheless, I'm glad you enjoyed it and made the wait worthwhile. ) As for the snorkeling in front, I'm afraid it's all sand as Mother Nature designed it ). But we do have two snorkel sites close by with one of them being 200 meters north of our property while the other one is a 15 min south of us. We enjoyed having you over and I wish you all the best.

Room too small for the price and breakfast not included. Bed mattress too think. Bed too narrow. Air condition old. No safe box in room. Internet wifi only works close to the bar area. They have the potential but they have to invest in the business. Not comparable with properties beneath.

전체적으로 만족했어요
다우인에는 다이빙 하러 간거라 다른 다이빙 센터에서 3일 다이빙을 부킹하고 여기서 숙박했어요. 여기도 PADI 샵인데 개인적으로 저희가 갔던 다이빙 센터보다 장비도 더 새거고 관리도 잘 하고 있고 깨끗하더라구요. 그래서 사실 좀 후회했어요. 친구가 중국 센터로 갔었는데,, 여기가 더 나아보였어요. 저녁에 방 앞에 있는 카우치에 앉아서 살랑살랑 바닷바람 맞으면서 사진 정리하는 그 기분 ㅠㅠ! 나가면 바로 앞에 바다 있고요, 레스토랑 음식도 맛있었어요. 다음에 또 다이빙 가면 여기로 다시 갈 의향 있어요. 다이빙도 여기서 바로 하구요.

Mike's really grew on us over the course of a 5-day 6-night stay. The friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff is infectious, this attitude affects all the guests; after a few days of hanging out, diving, eating with the other guests, you find everyone's happy, everyone's a friend. The resort has three parts: the hotel, the restaurant, and the dive operation. The hotel is nice but not deluxe, the room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was so-so but not out of line for this price point, as were the provided amenities. Housekeeping was great, any requests were immediately looked after. The best review goes to the dive shop, headed by accommodating and friendly Nic. After deciding not to do our planned Advanced Open Water course, Nic set us up with two day trips diving at Apo Island which is a must-do for any diver. Novice divers, we were paired with divemaster Romel. Although not taking specific lessons from him, he was a most patient and helpful teacher, especially for my wife who felt very comfortable and safe diving with him. He also had amazing eyes, able spot so many interesting things. I kept trying to find something before he saw it but generally to no avail. I think the lowest review goes to the restaurant. The food we tried was just OK, but worse was the slow service. Example - breakfast ordered the night before for 7:00, we got coffee at 7:20, breakfast, just fresh fruit at 7:30, no one else in the restaurant. Still, really enjoyed our stay!

Really nice resort
Great resort but not so vegan friendly if you are vegan there are only 2 meals on the menu and owner not sympathetic to vegan choices. This was our second visit

Dear David, We are really glad you enjoyed the resort for your second visit, it was nice to see you again. Regarding the vegan dishes, I understand the kitchen usually made special dishes for you according to your wishes. On your second night however, you admitted that you did not give the waiting staff instructions exclude the cheese from your meal. When this was discovered, we happily exchanged your dish for one without cheese at no extra cost. I am therefore surprised at your comment that we are unsympathetic. We try our best to meet our customers wishes in respect of all dietary needs, but in order to do that we need you to explain what your requirements are. We are sorry if that caused you any inconvenience.

Very charming resort and they do a great job of helping you with learning to dive or diving trips. We did a discover diving trip which was a lot of fun, what a great experience! Also did a snorkeling trip to Apo Island which was fun. The food is quite good and reasonable. The bedrooms are spacious with large bathrooms and I loved the variety of trees and greenery on the property. The staff were very friendly and the service was very good. I would definitely go back again.

😍😎ANOTHER GREAT STAY😎😍
This was the second stay at Mike's Dauin Beach Resort for my fiancee and me. We stay her last year and was VERY IMPRESSED. So we decide to book here again this year. Once again, we were not disappointed. We had s wonderful stay. The staff were very nice and very accommodating to our needs. The onsite restaurant makes delicious food that is reasonably priced. The rooms & grounds are clean, comfortable and well maintained. There was some renovations going on this year, but the construction was not too intrusive on our stay. Once Again, we had a GREAT STAY and would happily recommend it to anyone who is looking for a wonderful place to stay and unwind while In the Dumaguete area.

The resort is a small, nice and comfortable feeling place. The accommodations are clean and equally simple. It is a fair price for what you get, nothing more and nothing less. The food is pretty good with a flair for the Mexican cuisine. The staff is nice and definitely makes an effort to ensure satisfaction. I am not really sure I would go back but that is not really the fault of the resort, it is just not my cup of tea kind of place and I am not a diver either. Have been wanting to try it for a while due to the high marks I have seen it get in reviews. I am glad I did and I am glad it was only for a short stay. Met my needs at the time. Thank You.

We received a quaint and warm welcome from the friendly staff whom are always willing to lend a helping hand. The only confusion was the side trip organized by the hotel. We were not clearly informed on what to expect and there were “surprises” along the way. We went with the flow and enjoyed ourselves nonetheless. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay which was comfortable and clean with great food choices on-site and taste.

My GF & I booked a two night stay at Mike's Dauin Beach Resort. We had a WoWonderful Time. Niether my GF or I are divers & Mike's does cater more toward divers. Dispite this, they made us feel Welcomed & right at home throughout our stay. We actually extended our stay to five nights, due to an unexpected typhoon. The manager was very accommodating to our needs. During our stay we ate at their onsite restaurant several times. ALL of the food was EXCELLENT & reasonably priced. In short, I would highly recommend Mike's Dauin Beach Resort to anyone visiting the Dumaguete/ Dauin area.

The best hotel in Dauin
I read all reviews and are all legit. As a manager myself I can truly say that the hotel had earned my highest vote. The room is clean and bathroom equipped with a hair dryer (a first in a provincial hotel) and was so happy. The supplies was ample for 3 days stay (fluffy towels, shampoo, hair conditioner and soap). The staff was so attentive and friendly. They loved their jobs and are constantly cleaning and serving with a smile. All our meals were served hot and very important for Americans. Food are of good portions and sumptuous. We met several guests who has stayed in this hotel numerous times. This hotel is s gem.

We loved staying at Mike's. The food was good. The staff were super accommodating. The diving was safe and excellent. The room was nice. The WiFi worked well. The only thing that was a bit difficult for us was the TV size. It's so small and far away. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay at Mike's.

Hotel staff was Excellent !
Every member of the staff was excellent!I would say it starts from the top with Mike.Thank you for everything!!!!!!!!!!The food was also great.The biggest surprise was the food on the boat,it was the best meal on my trip!I expected tiny sandwiches.The manager was awesome too,i hope i get her name right i think it was Cory.Thanks for a great time!

Perfect place to eat, sleep, dive/relax repeat
Everything you could want in a dive resort. The best thing is its small enough that you feel like part of a little community and can personalise your experience - Mike consulted with the guests as to which dives or activities we wanted to do each day. The staff and food were also excellent. You will not be disappointed choosing to stay here for your Apo/Dauin experience.

Very nice place. It is small and there is not that much to do except diving. As long as you are ok with that then it is a great place. The swimming pool is nice and the food was very, very good.

Accueil chaleureux, atmosphère agréable, environnement très privilégié, belle piscine, chambres à l'étage très calmes avec belle terrasse. Eau chaude dans la douche (appréciable les jours de pluie après une plongée...). Resto correct. Plongées : planning adapté aux demandes des clients (merci Nic), excellentissime instructeur de plongée (John). Les points un peu moins bons : équipements de la chambre (num 6) vieillots (télé très 90's, clim qui fait plus de bruit que de froid), resto mal organisé (petit dej commandé la veille pour 7h15 et toujours pas fini d'être servi à 7h50 et donc terminé sur le bateau...) Mais globalement adresse à recommander.

We really enjoyed the warm hospitality of this resort. Corri, Jonathan, Gabby, Peter and all the others where friendly and helpful and made our stay personal. The resort is directly at the sandy beach. Our ocean view from the hotel room was great. The pool clean and the surroundings well kept. The food was delicious with a lot of choices (also for a vegetarian). We highly recommend this place.

A great and very popular resort in Dauin
Amazing place on the beach. Clean rooms. Great service. Great kitchen. Laidback place with a positive vibe. The staff is so nice. This is a place for relaxing and/or diving. Rent a motor so you can get around. Or be on or in the water. If I say anything bad about this hotel is that the pool could be cleaned better. But overall a great stay with lots of positivity. A place to recharge your batteries. Highly recommended.

Très bon séjour !
Un resort à taille humaine, très bien géré, propre, en bord de mer et avec une jolie piscine. Corri, la resort manager, a été d'une aide précieuse avant et pendant notre séjour pour organiser nos excursions, nous louer un scooter, organiser nos transferts. L'ensemble du staff est adorable. Le restaurant est très bon avec une carte variée. Une foule d'activités à proximité entre plongée et découverte des environs.

Un super séjour avec un personnel très aimable, un hôtel entre plage et palmeraie avec une piscine au top, une cuisine soignée et un centre de plongée. Super endroit pour départ vers Apo Island (mon coup de cœur des Philippines)

An ok resort
When I was searching a resort before the trip, I found Mike's and thought it's gonna be a nice place. It looks exactly like the pics but the room is not very clean. I stayed there for three nights and everyday I found flys and insects on my bed even after the housekeeping... Also, the water pipes must be too old that tastes like matel!!!! I have to buy bottle water for washing my face and brushing my teeth... The staffs are nice and helpful. They give good recommendations of sightseeing~
