"A large traditional hotel on the sea front. I was delighted to get a room with a sea view. Very up-to-date en-suite, excellent tv and coffee facilities. Downstairs there was a posh restaurant and also a bar where lighter snacks are available. I was disappointed that I couldn't have a smaller portion of the meal i wanted and have down-graded my review for that reason. "

"Pleasant stay, one of the nicer hotels in Folkestone. Rooms seemed to be (recently?) renovated, bathroom's spacious, bedroom was a little on the smaller size and the bed itself felt like a small double. One of the cons of our stay was how unbearably hot it was in our bedroom. The thermostat on the radiator wouldn't turn off and there was no way to switch if off in the bathroom. We had to sleep the whole night with the windows and curtains wide open."

"A lovely old mansion house with plenty of character. We were gory enough to stay in one of the renovated bedrooms which was spacious and clean. Some of the areas of the hotel required modernising and updating but I imagine this was part of the current works. Food was tasty and the grounds well-kept. We would happily return."

"We had a lovely stay. The staff could not have done enough for you. The place is kinda old fashioned but i think that part of its charm. The food served in the restaurant in the evening and for breakfast was very high quality and delicious. The staff were wonderful. Apparently the (waiting) staff dont really get many tips, so you may want to tip separately rather at the end of the stay to ensure they get it. It wasnt clear. One little negative, the room was way too hot and took hours to cool...
