It was an amazing stay. The staff were nice and friendly, place was clean and beautiful. Food wise I would say the breakfast was great. We had bbq by the beach for dinner which I thought was romantic. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. We love it!

Before I came, I was over worried about bringing my 10 month baby to males as there isn’t much infos available online. Upon arrival at Velassaru , all my worries are being thrown back. The speedboat transfer was just a 25mins, still a manageable transfer with my baby We were greeted by a representative at the jetty and they are really professional to make sure all your needs and requests are noted down. Good housekeeping and cleanliness in the villas as well as good food hygiene and overall staff service standards make the stay enjoyable. Very nice and delicious food with wide range of options here too. Ideal destination if you like sea sports and cruises.

A great all inclusive property to stay at. All the staff are really welcoming & polite. Our host was Elena and she was really fabulous in making sure we enjoy our stay at Emerald and helped to create all itineraries at the resort.

We stayed in the sunset overwater bungalow and it was just amazing. A huge villa with your own pool just above the turquoise ocean and fishes. The breakfast buffet is great with lots of options and the chef even made almond milk for me. For dinner you have several options - we tried the italian restaurant with amazing pasta, the ocean grill with super tender meat and a delicious vegan chickpea dish. We also had a castaway dinner where they bring you to an islands to have a candle light dinner...

For those who pine for seclusion and relaxation, this is the place for you! A very new resort, it is designed to maximise the Maldivian nature and avoid the mistakes of previous architects. The villas are so private that you could literally spend a week without encountering your next door neighbour. I can only surmise that occupancy was low, given it is brand new and meal times at the Edge restaurant counted no more than 20 people. No pressure to join 'group' activities - the guests here...

My husband and I loved everything about our 6d5n in Anantara Veli. We've rated it 8/10, and 1 points went to the rooms that can have some face lifting and another 1 point is that the attitude of the staff at the aqua centre can be improved alot more. Apart from that, it's everything we needed for a relaxing holiday at Maldives.
