"Citizen M Austin pics look super cool online- modern/retro tasteful decor- but, in reality everything is way too small- especially the rooms. We felt like we opened the door to a tiny super modern, cruise ship stateroom or hotel in Japan. It was hard for 2 people to move around the king room. The pillows were set up so one person would need to climb over the other to get out of bed- odd! The shower/toilet is a glass stall in the middle of the small room/ no privacy or space whatsoever. The sink is squished in the middle of the bedroom/ no place to do hair/makeup if that’s your thing. The rooftop bar/pool area looked great in the photos- but was too small and closed by 8:30 pm - the rooms are all controlled by a tabletop iPad, which we didn’t know, so we had a hard time getting lights on/off, shades up/down,.. but laughed about it all afterwards. The staff was friendly, everything was clean, plenty of amenities and things to keep you occupied, if needed. The location was great- close to a lot of great bars/restaurants and parking. We found a street parking spot right outside hotel and paid $15 to park. All in all, if you know all of this ahead of time and are good with it- that’s great! We would’ve liked a little more space and thoughtful room design. "

"Where do I begin, firstly let me say the rooms were impeccably clean and cozy. Amenities were all that you can ask for, being in a hotel. Now let me brag on Daisy and Alexandria, those ladies go above and beyond with customer service/satisfaction. I encountered a mishap (which I soon forgot about), that do not even needs mentioning because Daisy the front desk manager and Alexandria made up for that inconvenience. Called and checked on me throughout my stay, to make sure all my needs were met. I was upgraded to a junior suite (which I love), my dinner/drinks were complimentary due to the mishap. I must admit I was treated like royalty. A happy ending to a perfect birthday weekend.. Ms. Daisy and Alexandria need a pay raise and a vacation because those two ladies works hard to make sure my stay was all that and more🎉❤️❤️❤️"

"Our room was amazing with a useable balcony overlooking the Riverwalk. We were 1/2 block from a bus stop plus direct access to the Riverwalk. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Plus the beautiful historic building. I will always stay here when I go to San Antonio."
