"Staff very friendly and helpful. Food in restaurant was really good. Room too warm for us personally even with window open. Bathroom fixtures (bath/shower fittings) could do with being updated/modernised. Overall pleasant stay. "

"Toilet wouldnt flush, stains of damp all on roof. Sink blocked. Overpowering smell of sewerage in the corridor. "

"No towels in room, kettle had “yellow residue” tide mark … had to get towels from cleaners trolley on first morning… also had get my own toilet roll… went out and bought a kettle from Tesco as I was there for 6 nights and the dodgy kettle wasn’t replaced despite asking at reception"

"Well situated. Hotel felt a bit dated but we got a good rate so I guess that reflects it. Staff were friendly but service a little slow and inefficient. We had two rooms for our family. My room was fine but the second room the shower didn’t drain and flooded the bathroom which was a nuisance. I slept perfectly well but it would have been nice to be able to change the temperature- the panel in my bedroom didn’t seem to work. Rooms were clean but looked like they could do with a refurb. "

"No shops or restaurants/amenities close by, chose hotel for proximity to Glasshouse, which was excellent, 3 minutes walk. Although you can walk down over the millennium bridge very close to the Glasshouse to riverside pubs and restaurants. Took 30 minutes to walk back from central Newcastle city centre "
