"If you are looking for an authentic experience this is the place to stay. Beautiful property, full of history. Room was superb and bed absolutely amazing. Wonderful bath with soft hot water. Excellent breakfast as ordered. Great Host. Would definitely stay again. If you dont mind exploring and checking yourself in/out without a receptionist this place is a must visit."

"From when we arrived, the car parking was good with plenty of spaces. The staff were welcoming and very friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to a deluxe room which was great. The room was spacious with excellent facilities. I would definitely stay here again."

"Excellent stay, quiet room and good food. I suggest staying in the main building, as the annexe is far from everything, and the path between the annexe and the main building can get slippery on rainy days (and it rains a lot in England). The wine list and beer selection need improvement."

"Unique property but not even remotely luxurious. Clean and spacious but sparse. Uncomfortable furniture in the sitting room. Poor lighting throughout (especially the bathroom). Friendly staff. If you are looking for anything more than a 2.5 star experience look elsewhere. If you don’t care about comfort and want a great location this is for you"
