"Location overlooks some nice open-air restaurants and bars, so can be noisy at night which didn't bother me but something to consider. Several malls next door, convenient area for shopping and eating. Clean however air conditioning in my room reported that it needed a filter change and the room was slightly musty. Overall good location and value though. Staff are awesome. "

"Everything about the hotel was worth the price. The surrounding area had many restaurants, making it very convenient. The hotel was clean, and the bathroom was great. However, the check-in process was still quite poor. I understand that it's a self check-in system, but there were no staff members available to explain or provide any guidance. "One of the cheapest backpacker hostel in Singapore. First of all, the name of the place is "Checkers Backpacker" on Expedia, but the actual name is "Checkers Hostel". There is another location on Google map with the former name and the same hostel pictures. I ended up spending 1 hour reaching the actual place from the station. Be careful!!!!! Secondly, facility is old, but bed area is maintained clean to a decent level at this price. I had a good sleep as well. Bathroom is not clean but...

Nice place to stay, easy to get to

"Spacious room, view over runway, barely heard the noise a plane. There are inward facing rooms, facing the large swimming pool area, if you want absolutely no noise. Pool area was nice, and the breakfast provided an excellent buffet choice. Dinner at the restaurant was very good too. We would stay here again. "

Great 8 night stay at Furama RiverFront Singapore

"Furama RiverFront We had a comfortable 8-night stay at the Furama RiverFront hotel in Singapore. All the reception staff were extremely helpful, from arranging taxis to giving directions to MRT stations... Although our Superior Room was a little tired in appearance, it was very tidy and welcoming. The twin beds and sheets were clean and smelt fresh. The en suite was clean if a little dated. The food in the restaurants was excellent. However, we encountered a slight issue when my wife’s meal was left on the counter and was getting cold before I reminded the staff. On the first day, at the restaurant on the third floor, the lady, WW, was unwilling to assist us when we enquired about menus, cost and how to place an order. Every one else was very helpful. The location was perfect for us and we would stay here again. We can recommend the Furama RiverFront if you are planning a visit to Singapore!"

"This was a great stay! In the downtown area with plenty of restaurants, bars, and cafes within walking. Local food options are everywhere! The happy hour included a generous spread with free/reasonable drinks. The pool and spa was open early morning for jet laggers and early risers. I would definitely stay there again. "
