First and foremost, Expedia and Wyndham,were nor forthcoming when they advertised this establishment as an all inclusive. From the moment we arrived we were explained that the all inclusive package at every meal allowed you onto an appetizer, enteree and dessert. They tried to sell us another all inclusive package for $50 additional per person which would allow us fo eat anything. In our party it was me, my husband amd my son two sons ages 17 and 13. We were not told by Expedia that this resort was a time share resort. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left were hounded by staff members about a 90 hour tour. We graciously declined several times however, we were still hounded. The clean beach towels are by the concierge so they stragically placed everything where you would bump into someone who wanted to give you the timeshare speech. On the website they advertise they accept American Express and yet they do not. The time share is located on the East End of the beach where it is full of seawood and nothing to do. People were never in the beach it was so disgusting. Housekeeping only comes on the 3rd day however, if you want fresh towels you must go down to concierge and retrieve them yourself. One evening I was standing in a towel in the bathroom after 5pm and a housekeeper abruptly walked in. I was in absolute shock she just stood there and never once flinched. I asked her to leave and not return. I would not recommend this time share to my worst enemy.

It is a really nice resort. Most of people there is on a timeshare. So, this is not a typical all inclusive. There is only one restaurant on this property, but it an excellent restaurant.

We had a great time at Wyndham Reef Resort. The outside bar was perfect for lunch, and the restaurant on-site had a good breakfast and dinner options. We did one of the themed dinners, the Farm to Table, and it was good. The resort felt safe, quiet, and it was very clean. The pools were a little small for that size resort, and there's only one hot tub, so that was usually full. It was easy to swim and snorkel in front of the resort and there were lots of fish under the pier and dock at the resort next door. The resort is about 45 minutes from the airport - we set up the hotel shuttle service which was $100 for 2 people each way. We rented a car one day from the little place across the street ($53/day) and drove to the Botanic Park, Rum Point, and Starfish Point. There were lounge chairs available out front each day, activities (some free, some not), a coffee shop, gift shop, and books in the lobby. There's a grocery store across the street (1min walk) so we got coffee and creamer to have first thing in the morning - the condo had a coffee maker. My only complaint is that we booked an all-inclusive package, and when we arrived we were informed that it was the 'standard' pkg, which didn't include steak or seafood, and had other limitations. We opted to get the upgrade for $50/day (each), but that was a surprise, and felt like a bait and switch. It included top-shelf drinks - but we had to ask specifically for them each time. Just something to know before you go!

We had an amazing time on our vacation. The staff and food was outstanding for an all-inclusive. Philip the chef came out to a table a few times to check on the quality of the meals. The bar and food staff was very pleasant and super friendly. Most notable Samir, Benjie, Tony and Zipin. They do offer two all-inclusive packages the one that only offers three meals a day there is an up charge for a steak lamb and some of their meals which we were not aware of. The other package includes everything and upscale alcohol choices. We had an amazing time and the weather was outstanding I would highly reccomend.

In Panama there was a beltful beach but sharks made it dangerous so they install a fence to keep them out so I was just at this Hotel but the beach was full with see weed and it made the beach unenjoyable. For the see weed season a partial mesh fence should be install to reduce the impact on the costumers who paid good $ the enjoy the beach thank you.

The abundant seaweed on the beach was moved around everyday but never taken away. We saw other resorts which piled up the seaweed and removed it from the beach area. This could have easily been done by the Wyndham but they chose not to.

We loved out time at Wyndham Reed Resort! Our room was directly off the beach leading to the pier they have on the water. All of the staff were friendly and helpful with anything we needed. The food at the Beach Bar and the Tides restaurant was phenomenal! The reef was wonderful to snorkel in and we saw so many fish! We booked our own excursions through the website, but they also plan daily activities and live music throughout the week. We loved being on the East side of the island away from the heavily populated area on the West side. We even treated ourselves to massages at the hotel spa and had a wonderful experience there as well! Highly recommend!

This was our first time on Grand Cayman. We went with the all inclusive as we have kids and thought it would be easier. It was fine but I wouldn’t go all inclusive again as we were often out for meals on excursions and everything is pretty far from the east side. The sargassum on the beach is pretty bad. They try and clean it but you can’t really enjoy it. The 7 mile beach is gorgeous and puts this side to shame.

We loved the staff from the first time we entered the building to when we left. Everyone was so nice and attentive. We had issues with the phone and tv and someone was there to fix it in under 5 minutes. Food was amazing! We never had a bad meal. Seaweed is a problem, but they work so hard to remove it from the beach every day. Our room was spacious and very clean as was the entire place. Every day they would clean from top to bottom.

We fell in love with Grand Cayman at the Wyndham Reef resort. We chose the all inclusive package and ate way too much. The food was absolutely 5 star. Compliments to the chef. The view just couldn't be beat. The ONLY drawback was the wind since this is on the east side of island but did not detract from us having the best vacation. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend this resort. We rented a jeep and got to see all the sights which is imperative if you stay here. It is a very expensive taxi ride from airport from what i hear.

Staff and food were excellent. If staying longer than three days, you will repeat your food choices. More variety and food specials would be good. The lack of entertainment, both during the day and specially at night was extremely disappointing in this isolated place. Stating that there is nightly entertainment is false advertising. To make things even worse, you cannot access internet thru TV to watch Netflix, Prime, etc and TV choices are horrible.

The staff is extremely pleasant and accommodating, but the facilities need some upgrades to be on par with better quality resorts. The meals are average and more functional than delicious. The distance from everything worth seeing on the island is painfully inconvenient for those who choose not to rent a car. Taxis from east end to most places will cost upwards $150 for a couple, and the resort does not offer a complimentary shuttle service at this “ all inclusive” resort. It’s clean, quiet, and offers limited entertainment and activities. However, everything on the resort basically shuts down at 9; that can be boring. It seems to cater to the 65 crowd. It’s worth the money to pay higher rates for the 7 mile beach area. At least there are more restaurants and bars within walking distance of those properties.The higher end properties also offer complimentary shuttles to and from the airport as well as local attractions .

If you want quiet and restful and relaxation, this is the place. That doesn't mean being in the sun all day either. The food was outstanding, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The place was very clean. If you are a water person, it is absolutely great. I would rent a car next time as the travel around the island is limited and expensive. (Airport to Hotel - $95). The worst thing about the whole trip was US Customs upon return so I will sign up for their Global program for my next travel. I have nothing but great review and would go again all inclusive!

Good Times at Wyndham Reef!
We had such a good time!! Even though it is a drive from the airport and main downtown the resort and staff are total worth the stay. The bartenders Samir and Tony are the example of “service with a smile” they were engaging and delightful! We opted for the all-inclusive package which makes it easier when ordering food and drinks. There was a lot of seaweed at the resort but if you rent a car (which you should!) 7 mile beach is absolutely beautiful.

My husband and I were celebrating our 10 year anniversary. And this was the best vacation ever! Amazing friendly staff! The bar tending staff was so friendly and great! The perfect peaceful vacation! Would recommend! And I cannot wait to return!

It was very relaxing and pleasant. The staff was very accommodating and cordial. The menu for b/l/ d is the same everyday. Not all items are included in the all inclusive. The presentation of all food items was excellent and savory. The upkeep of the property was very good. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a relax beach front vacation. It is also very family friendly place.

Food was amazing, the best i've had at a resort. Service was great as well. Didn't like the seaweed but it wasn't awful like others have said and resort did a good job keeping it off the beach. Some additional entertainment options in the evenings would be nice. The optional sales presentation for time share is definitely "high pressure" after being told it wasn't and I would have not done it if I'd known it would have been over 2 hours, wasn't worth the vouchers but if you have any interest in purchasing a time share the system seems reasonable.
