Hotels with Entertainment in Edinburgh and Lothian

Market Street Hotel is a definite go-to if I visit Edinburgh again. It's clean and modern. I was first assigned a bigger room (Roomy) but it had a small window that looked out onto another building with no view of the sky at all. The front desk readily acceded to my request to change to a slightly smaller room that faced Waverley Station and Princes Street. Fantastic experience and most friendliest hotel staff I met recently. Breakfast is amazing as well. Located conveniently closer to the Edinburgh Railway Station and walkable distance to the Royal Mile and other attractions. Must stay if you are after a relaxing stay.

Only thing we dont like is we need to carry our luggage up especially when we staying at the west wing. Also would recommend the Admin to advice for those 1st time to Edunburgh tourist how to get to the place. We arrived by train and move out from 1 of exist which is nearest to the place but to our surprise we need to climb 4 storey of stairs begore

We really loved our stay at The Rutland. We had a 2 bed-room apartment in the basement with kitchen facilities. The place was very spacious & clean. As the location is excellent, with many places to eat around it, we didn’t use the cooking facilities at all. The staff were also extremely helpful with our luggage - there are no lifts in the apartment so we had to lug everything down a flight of stairs but we had help from the staff who were all very strong ladies. Located in one of the best part of old town. This property is very beautiful and tastefully decorated. The gym is very well equipped.

We had a fantastic stay! The people at the office were friendly and helpful when we parked our luggage there for the afternoon. We got a bit lost finding our way to the apartment but we were told the way when we went back to ask for directions. The apartment was lovely and clean and we did our best to leave it as we found it. An amazing find!

Is very hot and stuffy during summer in the house. Especially on the second floor without window. As for the master bedroom Is quite noisy when window is open. Overall is good.

Location was amazing, every attraction is within a short few minutes walk. There were pubs, restaurants right below which we did not find noisy. Apartment had a lift, we stayed in apt 13 on the 5th floor with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a balcony with a nice view overlooking the Calton Hill. Checking in was easy with a pin code for the entry gate, lift and apt, felt very safe with CCTV around the common areas. Whole house was fully equipped with heaters, even for the bathroom floors.
