"This is an enormous hotel. My room was large, and very clean and comfortable. I loved having the beautiful view of the bay. The shower was great (though the shower door did leak water onto the floor). My room was quiet - although there did seem to be lots of other people on my floor I never heard them from my room. I liked that it was easy to use my Netflix account on the TV in my room. I do wish the bedside light could be adjusted to be less bright. This is an expensive hotel. The most annoying part of staying here was the cheapness - it was annoying to pay a high fee for mediocre WiFi of dubious security. And the hotel restaurants are very pricey, and somehow the desk clerk pushed me into a pricey “Bonvoy” membership which cost about $50 a day and gave me not much in return. When you’re already paying a high room rate, who wants to feel like they’re trying to further gouge you at every turn? Overall this is a lovely place, I would stay here again. But I would resist the extra fees, they didn’t add much."

"Great central location for visiting sites like Sea World and the San Diego Zoo with a short drive to fast food and highway access. We liked the multiple pools, beautiful garden/pond area and walking distance to the beach. The pool bathrooms could have been cleaner and there is a lot of bird poop if you’re staying near the pond, but the room was very clean. Overall, it was an easy and pleasant experience for our family!"

"Location was great however the property needs some serious upgrades and I did have an interaction with one of the staff members that was not the best. Had to switch rooms once and the room they gave me had broken bathroom door, electrical sockets had no cover and it was very dusty. There was a man I spoke to in the front desk who told us “good luck all rooms are sold out!”when we called. When I showed pictures they offered me another room but after a day of flying and that original interaction I was too exhausted and honestly upset with how it was handled. The lobby is filled with a lot of the time share sales people that will also press you on questions to join one of their presentations."

"Place was clean and tidy. Banging noise all night long which I finally figured out at 5 in the morning. The little mini fridge was the culprit, every time the compressor kicked on .. Whe I unplugged it problem was solved. Location was good."

"Beds were old and uncomfortable, as were the pillows and towels. Felt like they bought everything new two decades ago and just haven’t updated things. We were honestly more tired from our vacation given the poor quality sleep. Never felt hotel food was any good and this really is no exception. They make you omelets which is nice compared to other hotels with continental breakfasts. The fact that we have to pay $70/night for parking in addition to a mandatory $25/night resort fee is quite absurd and a sneaky was for these resorts to take extra money from you. Finally, I was pretty annoyed by the guy in the front trying to sell me more Hilton hotel options. I normally am a glass half full kind of person but many things about this resort rubbed me the wrong way for the price we paid. It’s not like I wouldn’t recommend it, but there’s nothing great about this property. "
