I really like Ellensburg. Our son goes to Central Washington University, so we've been many times. It's a nice small town with good choices for restaurants and great hikes and natural areas to explore for miles.

Went to visit son at CWU, location to campus was awesome. Only 4 stars because there wasn't anything open later in evening for a drink. Even bar in hotel closed very early. It was a Thursday night.

Very nice town. Feels a lot bigger than the population would suggest. The CWU campus is very nice, too.
"Wonderful quiet location on the Yakima River. Can’t beat that view! A walking/biking/running trail follows the river and is a great “amenity” in that area! Pool and hot tub were very nice. It’s tough to find an outdoor pool these days so that was a major attraction for me. Only one close by sit down restaurant- a Mexican one next door. It was fantastic and bigger than it looks so no problem getting in on a Friday night. "
"The resort has all the amenities we need. Had surrounding incredible views of the mountain and lots of walk in trails. The restaurant and cafes had excellent menus. Front desk staff and restaurant servers were all amazing . I would definitely come back here!!"
"This is a great property with lots of space. The kitchen and living spaces are very nice. The outdoor areas are spacious and beautiful. Overall, a very nice place to stay with a big family. The place was a bit dusty with lots of dead flies in the windows, probably no one had stayed here for awhile since the last time it was clean. The alarm system was also beeping intermittently when we got there but I got it to stop by pushing some buttons randomly on the keypad. The host communicated well and addressed my questions quickly. At the end of the day, my kids liked this place, especially my 2 year old who slept really well each night and loved the crib in the house. That's worth 5 stars right there. Will look for this place the next time we are in Ellensburg."
