Glynhill Hotel

Glynhill Hotel

8/10 Good
"Stayed for one night prior to a holiday as close to the airport. Room was small but comfortable enough for one night. Enjoyed a quick swim in the pool but had to wait several hours to use it as children’s swimming lessons were being held. Also enjoyed a couple of drinks in the bar and a very nice meal in the restaurant. Only negatives were some areas of disrepair, notably a leak on one of the staircases and the carpet was saturated. Also no lift which for us was problematic as we were placed on the 2nd floor and had large cases ahead of the holiday so had to drag them up several flights of stairs. Also worth noting it was impossible to get an Uber to the airport and had to wait a while for a private taxi booked by phone - this is down to there being a £7 drop off charge at the airport so Uber/taxis have to take a massive hit on the fare. Overall served a purpose and was a pleasant stay for one night"

"Close to the airport and I liked the breakfast. The only minor issue is the space between the hotel and the airport walkway is uncovered so you could get wet if its heavily raining without an umbrella. Not sure if going via the covered garage eliminates the challege."

"It was a good stay, nice double room. Showerhead slid down the pole if too much water pressure applied! Room hairdryer didn't work so had to ask for another. Didn't try breakfast. No tea/coffee making facilities. Handy location for local bus."
