"The views of the Eiger are absolutely fantastic. Modern well provisioned rooms. We didn’t eat breakfast or use the TV lounge but both available along with communal kitchen for pm meals you can cater for yourself. Really enjoyed our stay albeit wished I’d clearly understood the bathroom was across the corridor (for our use only) and what comes with a standard room. Would have upgraded if I’d recognised this at booking. In the end no issue."
"The location was incredibly convenient—just steps from the train station and within easy walking distance to restaurants and gondolas. Our room was fantastic: a spacious duplex with 1.5 bathrooms and a stunning view, which made our stay both fun and comfortable.
However, the elevator and hallway were quite narrow, which made it a bit tricky to maneuver our stroller and luggage. As for breakfast, it was decent, though nothing particularly memorable."
"We only stayed one night and it was perfect! Our key was waiting at the front desk, lovely room, good size, comfortable and with a balcony and view! Breakfast starts at 7:30, and it was perfect too, with a lovely view! Fresh bread, trouts, local cheeses and meats! A wonderful stay at a chalet!
We drove, there’s a small parking and then you need to walk a little uphill with the bags to reach the hotel. Totally worth it! "
"Easy access to and from the train station and central to being able to get access to experience First. The staff was absolutely lovely. The hotel breakfast buffet was excellent with extensive options. Additionally, the hotel restaurant options for dinner with very good. The indoor pool/whirlpool is large and very clean. "
"In staying at 9 different hotels for our 2 week vacation this was our favorite hotel. We took the Gondola up to the hotel and then from there it was very easy to go to Grindelwald 'First' and was very accesible to some great hikes in the area, and then once the Gondola stopped at 6:00 p.m. it became very quiet and peaceful at the hotel. We had the restaurant and the mountain to ourselves for the rest of the night. Although we read many comments discouraging driving up to the hotel, we definitely could have driven up as we had good weather and the paved road is very driveable in the summer. "
