I had to walk up 4 flights of narrow stairs with a full suitcase and carry-on. There is no phone in the room and therefore no contact with the front desk. The hotel door is locked at Midnight or thereabouts and a man sleeping in a chair in the entrance hall (not a lobby) has to wake up to let you in. Of course there are no hair dryers and the washroom and shower are shared with 4 other rooms. Remember Germany is pot friendly and this 'hotel' is one block from the red light district. Area is full of rough-looking characters who may not be able to speak English. Not a very clean area. One of very few hotels who provide you with an actual key to access your room.

No elevator. Room on 6th floor. Door wouldn’t lock. Shared toilet and shower with 4 other rooms. No air conditioning control. Super scary for $100. We left for the holiday inn.

Needed a place close to the train station. Made the decision based on free cancellation, price, description and photos. The room was much darker than the photos, no side table lamps, TV broken, curtains hanging by a thread, hand held shower head did not fit the holder - had to take a 1 handed shower. No phone in the room. Door did not shut properly - had to push a chair against it to stop it from constantly rattling. Main fault - no lift (elevator) for 6 floors! Description listed on Hotels.com is incorrect - no bar or restaurant. It was not non-smoking. Smelled smoke and saw cigarette butts on the stairs. Staff was nice, bed was comfortable.

This hotel should have a "do not resuscitate" order on it. We paid over £1000 because it was exhibition week in Frankfurt. There's no entrance lobby, no breakfast, door didn't close properly, heating didn't work, lights were broken. Don't stay here

It's "fine"
This place really seems like it's in or recovering from some type of transition. To be clear, the guy at the desk was nice and helpful and the place was "fine". However, it's the little things that add up. First, just a warning - you'll have to carry your bags up a small, winding staircase which might be okay if you have one bag, but we all had two. Second, we had a TV but it didn't work like a TV. There were no channels and seemed only set up for a laptop to be connected to it. We aren't really TV people, but it would be nice to have it on to cover bathroom sounds since we were 3 people in a room with thin bathroom walls (I'm the girl who was with two guys x.x). Third, the lamp didn't work. Fourth, the bathroom door doesn't lock. The room had the most basic IKEA-looking furniture, but it looked newer aside from the desk with a hole in it. Most importantly, though, the wifi doesn't reach to the 4th floor. And since the three of us are relying on wifi connections to converse with family (no international plan), this not working was really inconvenient.

The room was very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was nice and very clean with more than enough towels. I do have to say that the property had no elevator, kind of difficult to get the bags up and down but not really a big deal.

Does what it should
We stayed for 2 nights in a double bed room and it was perfectly fine. Sure, if you have much luggage the lack of an elevator is a bis annoying, but otherwise it is nice, clean, and when we were there, also relatively quiet. The neighbourhood didn't seem so bad (lots of Turkish shops) and very close to the Hbf.

Day light robbery - not even a hook in room to hang clothes had to really push for somethingv- bedside light other side if room metal 3 step fire escape into room - it was clean but nearly 600€ for two nights a joke - not even B&B - just because an Expo was in town !!!!

This is a basic inner-city small hotel, good value at 62 euros a night but not much more. 1 There is no air conditioning. 2 The room has no fridge. 3 There is no lift. 4 The actual rooms are quite large with ample space around the king size bed 5 There is no downstairs lounge to sit in but I would not expect this at this price. 6. The staff were fine and helpful, carrying my heavy suitcase up the stairs, and down at the end. 7. The internet wifi was very good, so much so that when dining at the next door pizzeria, I could still use the hotel internet. All in all, I felt this was good value, infinitely better than the next hotel I stayed in!

The hotel does not have a lift but that that is not a massive problem. The immediate area around the hotel is not great. That being said up the street is the worst place I have ever seen in many years of the most deprived areas filled with junkies injecting themselves in their private regions and tripping. I am not a sheltered man but I would not recommend anyone with children stay near that area. The hotel staff were friendly enough and it seemed clean although the room door seemed somewhat insecure as if it had been kicked in and the shower head wall bracket was broken so we had to hold it. That being said apart from that the bathroom was really nice.

ok for 1 night
when we arrived it seemed to take a while to find our booking confirmation, then we were allocated a room 3 floors up and when we got there it had only 1 bed and a shower outside that looked like a shared facility. I went down 3 floors to sort it out and we had been allocated the wrong room !! we were then given a room on the second floor which meant taking all our cases back down but at least it had a double bed !! The bathroom was very good but the curtains didn't fit or close the whole window. however we were too tired to complain any more and just went to bed !!

Our group of four arrived late with a lot of luggage including musical instruments and boxes. We were told we could leave some of it in the lobby as there would be a staff member in attendance all hours. When we started bringing in our luggage we were told it was too much to store there after a couple of boxes. The room was on the fourth floor with the only access being via a steep set of stairs. After carrying two loads up and almost fainting from altitude sickness, we asked if there was a room on a lower floor available. The staff were unwilling to make any changes to our room so we decided to cancel the booking and go to another hotel. On my way back down I passed an older couple who were puffing and panting. I hope they made it out alive. The room itself was quite large and clean. I would only recommend this hotel to keen mountain climbers and stair enthusiasts.
