"About a 15 min flat walk from the main train station over cobblestones but not bad at all! Not all rooms have air conditioning which was a bit worrisome during the heat wave but the hotel provided two fans and we were able to keep the windows open so it wasn’t bad at all! Great place to stay and very close to the Old town!"

"Très bel hôtel, situé à la gare. Petite chambre mais très propre. Personnel sympathique et aidant. Pour les vélos, on ne peut pas les monter dans la chambre mais endroit sécurisé l’autre côté des rails en montant dans les ascenseurs à l’extérieur. Édifice circulaire. Coût 1$ par jour. "

"This is the perfect location for visiting the Black Forest right at the edge of the city of Frieburg (allowing no cars, in case you weren't aware). We stayed for two nights hiking in the area and visiting the Open Air Museum. Frieberg was charming for late afternoon/evening activities. The hotel is not fancy, but perfect for most as it is well maintained, guest oriented and extremely clean. Parking is available for 15e per night. The complimentary simple buffet breakfast provided each morning was a wonderful way to start each day. Service by both the front desk and breakfast staff was friendly, genuine and excellent. Inexpensive laundry service was available with quick turnaround, which was so helpful as we were close to finishing a multi-week trip. Restaurant recommendations provided were thoughtful and perfect for our needs. 5 stars for our visit May 14-16, 2026. Don't wait to book. I booked months in advance and was super glad when I checked weeks later and there was no availability."
