I felt very uncomfortable on the site. I am a confident, well-travelled, mature female so this is not usual. The site was likely a fine place for family travel in the 70s but needs a momentous upgrade both on the property and in the rooms. The parking area had snow through much of it so it was evident only a few vehicles had been around. After checking in, the access was around the side (unshovelled) and through a keyed double door into a courtyard that was dim & unused. Both times I accessed my room I felt that someone could readily be lurking and there was no support if I encountered trouble. After dinner out I returned to my room at 9:30 and again felt very uncomfortable.... such that I hardly slept and was up and packed by 8:00. The room was adequate but fading and I'm sure the bed was the original one! I had booked for 2 nights and chose not to stay any longer. Unfortunately (because I booked through Expedia) the receptionist was not at all sympathetic to my concerns and said I would just have to pay for both nights even if I checked out. Bottom line was $310 for one night! The photos and website description are not accurate!

This is like going back to that summer holiday spot as a kid in the 70's. Everything is a bit dated but the friendly staff keep it clean. Best thing is the huge tub and super shower.

Service was of minimal effort on part of the staff. At least the room was comfortable. I stayed there only to be closer for my ferry departure early the next morning in Langdale but would have much rather stayed for an extra night at my previous accommodations in Roberts Creek. At least the town Gibson is cute

This hotel is old and hasn’t been updated since the 90s. It doesn’t seem like the motel owners care all that much about their place. We booked the room for two people but there were only 1 set of towels. They provide the absolute minimum. However, what they lack in updates they make up for in cleanliness. The rooms are immaculate! They are so clean. Considering their location in Gibsons and being off of one of the main roads for arrivals from the ferry I imagine that if they did some updates they would have a thriving business. It’s too bad really.

The staff members were very friendly. The room was well equipped and comfortable. Just the bed was a bit too old and the mattress was too soft. Other than that, it was excellent! I highly recommend!

The staff was super friendly. Room was very clean. I had a flat tire on Sunday afternoon and all tire shops were closed. The owner of the lodge was very kind to fix my tire using his tire repair kit. So I didn't have to worry about driving 100 kms to come back home at night! I would highly recommend this lodge.

BE AWARE!!! The office of this hotel is only open until 9:30pm. This message is not very clear when booking and is hidden a ways down. I booked this for a technician and due to ferry delays, he arrived late. He called all of the numbers with no answer and had to sleep in a work van.

When we checked in we were informed the pool was out of service then our rooms did not look like the pictures. From our experience the pictures seemed to have been taken 15 years ago and there’s been no updates since, there were stains on the mattresses, the toilet was broken , the shower curtain had mold, the bathroom cupboards were falling apart, there was no fan in the bathroom and there’s no air conditioning.

Canceled room because was unaware the need to take ferries Woulc impede with ability to get to the airport. Was told to speak to Expedia regarding a refund. Called Expedia and they called the hotel who said "no refund"
