First of all it is located in the old town which makes it very romantic place to take a stroll in the small alleys of the town. Breakfast was decent and not inclusive. The room that I got was a small mansion if you want to describe it properly. Overall it is a very convenient place to stay and for it’s price it turns out a good option for singles and couples in my opinion.

Would Not Return
Indifferent check-in. Supposed to have old town view—actually on street level with painted over windows. Broken tub safety bar, unuseable tv, many mosquitos, room in shabby and not clean condition. Manager on duty after first day did his best, but rest of staff not very helpful. Noise level very high most of the night. Inebriated motorcyclist pounded on our door in the middle of one night. Tiny bathroom.

Nice in the photos terrible in reality!
I regret for not reading the reviews before i booked! The place looks great in photos BUT in fact is not what it seems! Especially my room, in IFIGENIA 3 on the second floor , i believe room No. 14! It was a very smallroom with no sea view OFFCOURSE, bed very uncomfortable, sheets clean, naked cables on the walls, bathroom very small not very clean, no running water for 2 consecutive nights, and i had to interrupt my shower! In general it needs very serious restoration!My Only positive comment is the nice breakfast and the kindness of the two ladies , Manousaki and Fiora! During check out , i asked the owner if i can make a complaint and he said NO! He said he was already informed by the staff! I insisted that I wanted to tell my complaints directly to the owner! I expressed to him my complaints and his answer was “What did you expect , you chose the cheapest room!!! I have no further comments!!! I strongly DO NOT recommend this place!

Nice hotel in the centre of Chania Old Town.
Located in the. centre of Chania Old Town close to shops and restaurants. Beautiful streets. Truly a hidden gem worth exploring. Very beautiful.

Nice hotel in the center of old city
Although the hotel room was completely different than what we saw in online pictures, the hotel staff was really nice and friendly so we didn't question it too much. Room didn't have the sea view, it was looking at the old town street. It had a convenient location. Clean room was a plus.

All is not as it seems in the photos
We should have read the reviews on other sites - this place looks great in the ads but in fact is not what it seems. Not overly clean, rooms scattered throughout, including up narrow, endless stairways, to boxed-in rooms with most things not working (although the air conditioning was good). The safe was not attached to anything and had a universal password similar to the wifi password. Shower too small and bathroom cramped. Filled with icons - some interesting; others pages from someone's old sketchbook. Staff friendly but owner not so much. Lots promised - not all delivered.

Lovely room in a great area
Location was great, it was pretty centrally based in the old town and was close to lots of shops, great restaurants and the harbour. We arrived late and were greeted personally at our hotel and shown into the room, and during our stay the staff were always helpful and friendly. Breakfast was fantastic - it was brought to the table every morning and always consisted of a variety of different local dishes. There were a couple of power cuts during our stay, but as we were in the old town, we assumed this was quite normal! Overall, a lovely place to stay, I would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful and Affordable Stay
Didn't get to stay, had something urgent come up and had to leave several hours after checking in. Beautiful hotel. Interesting that the rooms are not all located in a single location, a fact that my friends and I appreciated, as it allowed us to better learn the area in a short amount of time. Many shops and restaurants in the area. 30 second walk from the water.

The hotel is in a good location, but so are plenty of others. Imagine dragging your bag up 3 flights of tiny, winding stairs, only to find a room that looked straight of of the 1940s, and not in a good way. There was no phone in the room and no staff around to ever deliver a message from wherever the hotel's main phone was. No English language channels on the tiny, old TV. What accounted for a bathroom was a handheld shower to the right of the toilet, and no hook to hang it on, so you had to hold the showerhead in one hand and somehow wash with the other, but that assumes you actually had water to bathe with, which was never a guarantee here. Bottom line, go elsewhere!

The rooms are actually scattered in several buildings in the same general location. The room you get is pot luck. Mine was rather cramped and the window/balcony had virtually no view. No TV channels in English. Half bottle of wine, but no bottles of water. Rather overpriced for what you get.

I chose double room with two single beds. But when I arrive at the hotel I found one double bet. When I explained that I requested two beds the girl told me I have to pay 10 euro extra to have it. The first morning we woke up and found the floor full of water because the night before was raining. Same with the bathroom and of course the hair dryer didn't work. I tried to explain the owner that the condition I have lived in the hotel was the worst. And this room is inappropriate for staying. The only thing he said to me is "sorry "

Ideal, quieter location set back from harbour in the old town. We stayed in 'Ifigenia IV' (there are a few different buildings). We received a very friendly welcome once we found the office. Our ground floor room was full of character in a former old Creten home. It had a jacuzzi bath which the owners had decorated with little candles. The room was a bit dated and felt a little damp, however we didn't get the chance to feed this back to the owners.

The description--either it is provided by Hotels.com or from the hotel--is completely inaccurate. There was no "Pillow menuBlackout drapes/curtains." "Complimentary toiletries" were merely 2 bar soup. There was no "Free Wi-Fi Internet point." So called "Onsite parking is complimentary" is street parking. It fails to mention the bathroom is so tiny--converted shower space--that you practical sit on the toilet to shower. It is however at a very convenient location and is very charming. I paid $40 for the night. And one should not pay more for it.

It proved to be a perfect place to recover from jet lag..an acceptable bed, spacious room, interesting but clean, functioning bathroom (our first intro to an EU bathroom where toilet and shower are VERY close) and great adjoining patio with view of the harbor. Great location near the port and restaurants. The negatives with the room were steep spiral staircase to our top floor unit (can be challenging with bags) and no communication pre-arrival about where to park. Overall, the location and room were perfect for a one-nighter and gave us great exposure to Chania.

Well-located a few minutes' walk from the Venetian harbour, no sweeping views of the harbour like other (much) more expensive hotels, but isn't it a better idea to spend the extra money dining at the habour rather than to have a view of it. Prompt service. This is akin to a local apartment, do not expect luxurious 5* accommodation, but you will be content if you are used to southern European standards and know what to expect.

Charming hotel
Not a luxurious hotel, but well located and clean. If you like to be in a "rustique" room, excellent choice for backpackers, stairs are too steep and tight for a normal suitcase. The ambiance of the room puts you back in the 40's mood. We had a very pleasant stay at the hotel but it is highly recommended for adventurers and not for regular tourists!

The location was good being so near to the harbour, but the staff were quite rude and the bathroom looked like it had been built into the kitchen as an afterthought! The kitchen area was pretty grimy too so we had to give it a good clean before using anything. The pictures on their website were quite misleading, will be staying elsewhere next time.

Ich hatte 4 Etagen inklusive zwei Doppelbetten allein. Gelegen ist das Apartment bzw. das Hotel in der wunderschönen Altstadt von Chania. Die Inneneinrichtung ist ebenso urig wie die Altstadt selbst. Ich habe mich wie in einer anderen Welt gefühlt. Man merkt allerdings, dass das Apartment sehr alt ist, z. T. riecht es moderig und der Duschvorhand wirkte abgenutzt, das Waschbecken kalkig. Dennoch hatte ich eine wunderbare Zeit hier!

Πολύ ομορφη διαμονή!!
Η διαμονή μας στα Χανιά ήταν πολύ όμορφη. Ο κύριος Μιχάλης μας έκανε από μόνος του αναβάθμιση δωματίου κ μείναμε σ ένα υπέροχο studio με υδρομασάζ. Οι κανόνες υγιεινής τηρούνται, το δωμάτιο ήταν καθαρό κ η τοποθεσία άψογη,στα στενά σοκάκια. Ευχαριστούμε πολύ. Το συνιστούμε ανεπιφύλακτα

Fantastisk beliggenhet - OK, men sjarmerende rom
Dersom du er på oppdagelsestur og ikke har tenkt å oppholde deg mye på hotellrommet, er dette et ypperlig valg. Hotellet er lokalisert i en av de roligere, men mest sjarmerende gatene i gamlebyen i Chania. Det er gåavstand til shopping og gode restauranter, buss- og taxiholdeplass. Du bor midt i smørøyet og bare en 10-minutters busstur unna nydelige strender. Hotellet er med andre ord et perfekt utgangspunkt om man vil farte litt rundt og oppleve det Chania-området har å by på. Selve hotellet er av eldre standard og ikke noe for de luksus-trengende. Rommene er store, selv om det ikke var opplyst fikk vi en leilighet med stue/kjøkken/soverom og bad. Interiøret gav inntrykk av å være fra begynnelsen av 1900-tallet og det meste er skjevt eller henger på halv åtte, men rommet og atmosfæren hadde en utrolig sjarm. Og det hjalp at alt var rent, det ble vasket og byttet ut håndkler hver dag. Og bygget hadde en sjarmerende takterasse du må klatre opp 3 etasjer med smale trapper for å nå + enten balkong eller sittegruppe utenfor om du bor på bakkeplan. Vi benyttet heller tiden utenfor, enn inni rommet. Det kan være greit å vite at "hotellet" består av 3 ulike bygninger som er plassert i 3 ulike gater, men nært hverandre. Så om du finner frem til et bygg med skiltet "Ifigenia", ikke bli overrasket om du blir henvist videre.
