"The accommodation is excellent for the price with great links to Cardiff via Newport train station. Newport is wales version of Burnley but it’s a cheap place to stay. Had all the cooking equipment I needed and the room was clean with a decent shower. Will use again. "

"Our stay was for a surprise 21st birthday party and we were completely in awe when we arrived. The drive along the private road is stunning breathtaking views of Abergavenny and surrounded by animals. The area has such low light pollution, it was lovely to sit outside at night and see the stars so clearly. The area is private and secure as we had children with us that loved running around outside. The property has so much space that no one felt on top of me another which was lovely as there as 7...

"This property is the worst place I have ever stayed in, I stay in a lot off air brb as I work away from home a lot. Nothing comes close to this place, absolute dump, mold all over the upstairs, rubbish still on the floor looks like the cleaner gave up years ago. We arrived at the property after waiting 3 hours to be told someone was in there who shouldn’t have been. Key code was wrong took an hour to get that. No towels no toilet roll absolute disgusting also had a smell to the house. I would...

"Amazing stay again. Beautiful room and view. Breakfast was fantastic as always. Staff amazing especially Darran and Paul on concerige always professional and make our stay memorable. "Another great stay at TY Magor. Only one thing the benches outside seems to have been moved to the outside of reception this is not a good look for the hotel and the noise from the people using these benches directly outside is not good,this to be honest only happens now and then but it would be a good idea to fix these benches to the side,where they would still benefit the people who like to smoke and have a drink outside and wouldn’t disturb the other guests."

"The hotel was modern, clean and comfortable. Ultimately like any hotel it’s just a building; however, what sets this building apart is the staff. We stayed two nights and from the outset we were made to feel like old returning friends. Special mention goes to restaurant staff Nathan, Bessy and Coulay (I guarantee that I’ve misspelt that), also to night desk staff member Andrew. If I have need of a hotel in Newport again I can’t imagine choosing anywhere else. Great service. "
