I personally have an issue with noisy walkers, so if your on the first floor you'll definitely hear people stomping through their room from above. Our room was okay. We had a bathroom, but was surprised in two ways. I thought upon entry there was no bathroom because of the layout (small). But there was a door that led to a bathroom that was a pretty good size. It needs a little bit of update, but it worked well. I'm american and the windows were cool. I didn't realize how it worked until checkout time. There's an inner set of windows directly in your room. Then there's a second set of windows that you have to open in order to get fresh or cool air into the room. The first set of windows were somewhat European and then the second outer set I guess maybe Japanese. My first time, but that was cool.

Great hotel located very conveniently near the port, as well as Motomachi and Mount Hakodate area! Only 15-20 min to downtown core for the morning market as well. The hotel also rents bikes for 1200 yen for a full day so we biked around the city and we highly recommend it! Would recommend staying here!

I enjoyed my stay here. It’s right on the pier so it was a nice area to stay in too. The only negative was there were stairs down into the lobby and also up to my room. I had a big suitcase so no lift/ramp mad it difficult but the staff were happy to help me carry my suitcase up and down the stairs.

There wasn’t elevator for this property, but staff helped us carry our luggage to our rooms. The rooms are very large for Japanese standards, as at least one wing was repurposed from an old bank branch.

All good, excellent location for exploring Hakodate. Staff recommended Times parking although there were cheaper options closer. Some minor damage to walls in rooms/bathroom stop this place form being excellent. A fine stay but nothing special, all good!

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The young lady at reception showed us the website of live camera by the observatory so that we can check visibility from the hill top. Hotel location is perfect and an easy stroll to the most beautiful part in Hakodate. The decoration of former bank converted hotel is cool and stylish. The bathroom in double room is spacious in Japanese standard while the room is a bit cramped but we managed as we only spent two nights
