"Aesthetically absolutely beautifully designed interior, however not so functional. We stayed over the new year so it was cold/dry weather so we wish they had humidifiers. The beds are extremely comfortable unlike the beds at the major hotels so we were able to get rest well to recover from 13 hours flight. Unfortunately unlike other guests, we didn't get response from the owner quickly. We got a response 3 days after we checked out which was not a big deal anyway. "

"We had a really lovely time here, and it was a perfect retreat after the busy atmosphere of Tokyo! The atmosphere of Hakodate is reminiscent of places like the Oregon Coast and Fairbanks, Alaska, that is, a slow-paced town in a cool climate with wonderful museums and historical sites related to indigenous community (in this case, the Ainu and other neighboring cultures) and a strong connection to the sea. The star-shaped Goryokuko was a unique stop we could have explored further. And I should...

10/10 Excellent
"This was my first trip to Hakodate. After looking at hotels locally, I chose yo stay in the Premier Hotel - Cabin President Hakodate. Because it is conveniently located across the street from Hakodate Station and offers great value for money. The hotel staff (from front of house and reception, to the restaurant and the housekeeping team) are all very polite and attentive. The hotel is spotless throughout. Likewise, was my room. This was located on an upper floor and offered me great views of the city and Mt Hakodate. I had a nice bed and the functional bathroom had a nice shower/bath tub. I only ate breakfast in the hotel. This was lovely, with a large selection of Japanese and American breakfast favourites. All the buffet food was regularly topped up. With a chef preparing freshly made omelets. I also used the small Club Room offering a nice glass of Red or White wine, Teas, Coffees etc. and snacks. Due to its location, the Premier Hotel - Cabin President Hakodate has lots of restaurants, shops near by and its within walking distance of a lot of tourist attractions. The tram terminus is located a minutes walk from the hotel. In closing, I must mention honestly of the staff (housekeeping maid). When packing to check out. I inadvertently left my passport and some money in the room safe. Thank you again.! Within 10 minutes of checking out, I’d received an email alert from the hotel. This kind of honesty truly embodies the Japanese culture of honesty and integrity..!"
