"The room is very big for Japanese style room. Slightly dated but clean. The staff were very kind and helpful with transportation. The only complaint is the use of the onsen. It was very loud with talking and excessive laughing. People were “swimming” in it and going underwater. Kids were running around. It was not enjoyable and felt other guests did not know how to respect or use the onsen. Did not return to the onsen. "
"Didn’t really feel like a spa hotel. Yes they have hot baths, but most people from the uk won’t want to go in naked. We used the bath on the balcony which was nice. Apparently there are massage chairs in the spa area. "

"Good enough stay; overall could improve. Budget option with a nice onsen. People without a rental car, consider there is no shuttle and the bus service to amenities is extremely limited.
This area or hotel could benefit from some type of shuttle service, as many of these hotels are located close by to each other and their occupants could benefit from better options to access the nearby tourist attractions and communities.
We were checking out during heavy rain and we nor the staff could get us a taxi or uber after trying for an hour. We ended up bussing to a terminal and waiting for 30 minutes to bus to another terminal to eventually get out of the area. Our Hakone Pass did not work on the bus from the hotel, either.
You will only be able to get 50 minutes in the onsen per day, per stay, as it only is open in evening. There were heavy winds that kept us up most of the night because the glass doors to the balcony were so drafty.
We arrived to the hotel and ordered our breakfast to be delivered to the room the next morning at 8 — at 8:15 we were told it is waiting for us in the restaurant because staff can’t carry up the 2 servings (set on the menu). It must have been there for the 15 minutes because it was soggy and freezing cold. "
"Many things in Hakone were cloaed. Had dinner at the buffet which was amazing. The room was gorgeous with our private onsen. This was so relaxing. The hotel smelled amazing."
"Beautiful resort with great hospitality and amenities. The only critique I have is that, especially for this price, I feel like all guests who request the shuttle service to/from the train station should be offered it. It was very difficult for my husband, baby and I to get to the hotel without it (especially because no taxis/ubers were available) and when we wanted to go to use the shuttle on the way back to the train station, they said it was fully booked. They ended up eventually being able to accommodate us, for which we were incredibly grateful, but there was a lot of extra stress and pleading with the front desk to be able to get that confirmation. This was the only tarnish on an otherwise wonderful, relaxing stay. "
"Our stay was amazing! Loved the onsen and dinner experience at the Japanese restaurant on site. Also very easy access to Mt Komagatake Ropeway, where we got excellent views to Mt Fuji at the top! "
"Nice hotel with comfy rooms. Good breakfast. Dinner is expensive if not included in the room rate and there are limited options in the town. Communal area with snack and drinks was a pleasant surprise. "
When you save on your room price, you can make the most of what Hakone has to offer. Not-to-be-missed sights include Lake Ashi in Hakone, as well as Mount Fuji and Gotemba Premium Outlets in the area.
