"Awesome hotel! The whole hotel is so beautiful, and all of the staff was so friendly and helpful. We loved that there were restaurants and the onsen and spa on site so we were able to relax without even leaving the property if we wanted. Everything was clean and well maintained and all of the restaurants were delicious! I would definitely recommend staying here if you get the chance."

"Great location in Hakone to chill and relax. Spacious rooms. Nice onsen for both genders (little small but wasn't overcrowded). Breakfast and dinner dining options were both excellent and mixed Japanese and Western cuisines."
"Included breakfast selection is limited but quite good ... lineup and waiting period for unreservable breakfast was disappointing.
Dinner dining times are too short ... but dinner choices are decent."
"Hotel situated at a beautiful location by the lake with a view of Mt Fuji when weather is clear. Nice walk to forest area. We had a spacious room in annex building. Air conditioning could have been better but not a problem. Buffet style dinner at lakeside restaurant was excellent with plenty of choices, although a bit pricey. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Free shuttle bus service to station comfortable and punctual."
"Property is a slight walk from Gora station , make sure you are prepared for rain if you are walking to the property. Overall experience with the place and staff was pretty positive, the only slight issue I have was that there was only 1 coin laundry machine , so you need to be strategic about washing of clothes "
"Hakone Airu was a beautiful and relaxing place to stay at. It was easy to get to from Hakone-Yumoto Station by the bus shuttle. Definitely take the shuttle if you are able to. However, if you walk, it'll take some time but you get to view the onsen city. The staff were very welcoming, kind, and thoroughly explained how the services I booked worked. My sister and I got the dinner and massage package and it was very worth it. The dinner menu was delicious and fresh and we enjoyed every part of it. Our room was very cozy and the private onsen was very nice, with a beautiful mountain view. We loved that they provided yukatas for us both. It was nice to wear them and relax around the whole resort and our room. We also liked that there were two sinks and free toiletry/hygiene products for use. Although we forfeited the breakfast portion due to other conflicting schedules, we are sure it was as good as the dinner. We would definitely come back to this place and spend more time here. "
