"Fabulous beautiful location by the lake, convenient to public transport and easy views of Mount Fuji. It’s a brand new hotel with many amenities, good size room, exceptionally attentive staff plus the owner is incredibly nice and offers all kinds of tours. They also have vilas with private Onsen which we definitely will try next time! "

"The private onsen was not exactly what we were expecting. The food was mediocre and they could not accommodate my allergy. The location was beautiful and accessible to all things Hakone. The staff did not allow late check out and did not schedule the second breakfast with us. Overall, it was underwhelming and not worth what we spent. Hakone was incredible, we will be back, but we won’t stay here."
"Absolutely cannot fault this property. We didn’t eat in the hotel due to how expensive breakfast and dinner was so if you don’t have a car, be aware of this"
"An absolutely incredible property in Hakone. We couldn’t imagine a better experience in the area. Staff was very welcoming and inviting upon arrival, and the general ambiance in the lobby gave us a sense of relaxation immediately. Off-property Kaiseki dinner was a great experience, with amazing presentation of dishes and fantastic service. Onsen facilities were great, very clean with many amenities. Wonderful experience overall, thanks for making our first time in Hakone a memorable one!"
"This hotel was very nice. Our room was comfortable and nicely appointed. My only comment here is that we had requested a river view. There is construction across the river so it wasn't the beautiful view I was expecting. Of course that is not the hotel's fault, but it is worth noting. The staff was wonderful! Very helpful. They have a shuttle to the beginning of the Hakone Loop, which was helpful. We enjoyed the onsen in the hotel, Great place to relax. The restaurant and bar were very good. We had an excellent dinner there. And had their buffet breakfast twice. I would recommend this hotel."
"This is a fantastic hotel with so much history. The staff were so lovely and accommodating and the facilities with the onsen, the garden, the bar, the lounge- everything is so lovely. They even upgraded our room view which was very nice.
The only odd thing was a particular waitress that were serving us in the Japanese restaurant and also in the breakfast hall the next day. She was insistent on us buying a sake pairing when we didn’t want to. For the breakfast she also insisted we buy the breakfast package even though we had already ordered something else. I also found it odd that she gave us the bill before we had finished eating and she seemed to forget about our breakfast for 40 minutes.
Other than that, it was absolutely amazing. The rest of the staff were incredibly accommodating and professional. "
"Close to Gora station.
We stayed in the Condo, so it was a separate building to go to the Onsen & lobby/lounge area.
We enjoyed evening snack and sweets.
We couldn't change the room temperature and asked for help from the hotel and came to find out the temperature couldn't be changed so the room was too warm to sleep comfortably.
Over all, we enjoyed our stay."
