"Had really high hopes for this property as the Crowne was right around the corner but I wanted something locally owned and with more character. Everything was just as I imagined except for the staff. We asked for some printing to be done and granted it was quite more than they are probably used to, but it was done without first informing us of the price and then all of a sudden we were slapped with a bill for 35pounds! Again, wouldn't have minded IF they had asked us first but they didn't...

"Just had a great one night stay at the Belmont. The room was very clean and comfortable, as was the whole building. The kitchenette had everthing we needed and everything was in excellent condition. The pre-arrival information was comprehensive and was provided in a very friendly and welcoming way. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the place, or to book again ourselves. "The hotel is wonderfully located in a beautiful old building. The bar area is very comfortably and the rooms are nice and bright, having had a refurb in the recent past. The staff are hit and miss, some are absolutely lovely, caring and helpful, others treat you like you’re in the way, which is a shame. The rooms have an iron and ironing board, kettle and basic toiletries."
