"Excellent B&B with fantastic breakfast & staff!"
We enjoyed the Edge! We were welcomed into the place like we were family. Very clean & comfortable. All needs were met & laundry is offered if you stay 3 or more days. Breakfasts were wonderful! Fresh fruits of the island & their coffee were highlights, as well as the view from the eating areas outside. Lots to do in the daytimes, we never had a need to have something to do.

"Oasis of Aloha"
Ka'awaloa Plantation BnB far exceeded my expectations. When we arrived, we were upgraded to a suite and provided a lovely spread of local fruits and fresh guava juice. Michael and Greg provided ample fruit and snacks throughout the day and their dog was a well-behaved and pleasant character wandering around the property. The breakfasts, in particular, were healthy and delicious. Ask Michael to make his pancakes. The kitchen, in general, was large and welcoming and proved to be a joyful location to prepare meals. If you plan to cook, however, just be sure to check with Michael to make sure the gas reserves are full. The overlook of the plantation and ocean from the rear lanai was calming and pure aloha. We didn't utilize the backyard hot tub but it appeared to be clean and with a great view. The living room was spacious and comfortable with board games and books available. Our suite was well-decorated with beautiful wood furniture and Hawaiiana-style and had a large comfortable bed. The walk in closet provided a small vanity and plenty of room for cloths. The bathroom was clean and well-sized. The shower was large with a rainfall style shower head which I love. Michael provided plenty of guidance regarding local options for food and adventure as well as for massage therapists to provide services at the property. Wifi worked well. After our first night we were hoping to extend our stay but not unexpectedly the property was well-booked for the popular month of August.

"Ok for a quick stay"
Needs some upkeep/upgrading. Hard to find. Quiet and relaxing except for the roosters which are everywhere anyway. Suites are huge. Great for a family or larger group.

"Good for.someone.who wants peace and quiet"
Very peaceful, just the sounds of nature and an occasional windchime. No TV in the rooms but they do have WIFI if you need to stay connected. Organic food for breakfast! This would be great for people wanting to go on retreat. I really enjoyed my stay and have already told some of my friends.

"Couldn't have been better!"
Away from noisy crowds, Hale Ho'ole was surrounded by nature. Fruit trees, flowers, fragrance. Our room was very clean and comfy, with a private lanai to relax. Our hosts, Bob and Mary were charming and made us feel like old friends. Bob was kind enough to recommend the Keei Cafe for dinner, which was a great choice. Mary, herself, was quite the chef, serving a hearty, delicious, and healthful breakfast. We truly recommend her quiche!

"Love the staff!"
The staff was great. Super nice. The place was very clean and had everything we needed during our stay. The resort is really close to some great historical sites and near Kona. 5 min drive to some really good beaches for snorkeling, and another for boogie boarding. We got to see some sea turtles while snorkeling! We had some friends stay at a resort an hour north up the coast, and had to drive down to Kona to snorkel, etc. They were bummed about that. But we weren't. And we were within close driving distance to a Starbucks and the Costco, so we could stock the kitchen in our room. Great experience. Would absolutely stay again.

"We moved here from condo with no air conditioning"
After spending 8 days In a sweltering condo with no ac, we finally moved to the Sheraton. Should have done it 6 days earlier. Nice room, clean. They brought us a fan. The kids loved the pool, although it rained, and they couldn't use it constantly. They had a large room with games, ping pong, pool table and xbox. They were in heaven.

"Great location and amenities. "
Like a home away from home. Great location, close to old Kona area, beach and activity areas. only complaint is the unit we had had no air conditioning. If you were like us and were out most of the day, then it's not really an issue. But if you intend to spend a considerable amount of time at the unit, you will be warm. Great to have kitchen, washing machine, etc. Loved access to pool, ping pong table, etc. Would come back again for sure.
