We enjoyed our short stay at the Royal Kona, while on Big Island. It is in a great location near everything you might want to do. The beds are very comfy and rooms are spacious. The resort also has great amenities as well. We would stay here again!

I stay at the Royal Kona Resort every time I visit the Big Island. It is a throwback to the 1970s but that is why I love it so much. My favorite features: waterfalls and Koi gardens and tiki statues by the front entrance as well as the spectacular views from Don the Beachcomber bar and restaurant while listening to spectacular live music.

Great resort for a reasonable price. Great Location. Easily accessible by car or walking to shops and dining. There is some renovations being done little to know disturbance to the guest. The rooms are large and half a nice little kitchenette, but the beds are quite hard in the bedding is not very luxurious.

Check in was slow, our room wasn’t ready as expected but once we were settled the rest of the trip was great. Clean rooms, hot water took a bit but we blame the weather conditions and storms that rolled through. Would definitely recommend us stay there again.
