High Black Forest Hotels from S$70

"What a fantastic place to stay! The staff really look after their guests and make you feel cared. Highlights include their spa that includes a dry and wet sauna, as well as a place to lounge. Breakfast is plentiful, and includes access to sparkling water (a personal highlight for me). They have a sommerlier on staff, and the fridge is stocked with wonderful wines and beer for purchase at a reasonable price - as well as the proper glassware! The downside was not having a fridge in the room and the pillows were less lofty than we were used to. I wish that we stayed an extra night! "

"The room was nice and tidy, and the area was great. The customer service was extremely slow. We did not get an email about how to check in and had to call up to get access to the room. After 3 days of emailing around to various people, I finally got in contact with someone, but still yet to receive a check in email. There was also reference to a folder in the apartment that supposedly had check out instructions, this did not exist either. "

"They took advantage of my illness and acted inhumanely. On the day of arrival at the hotel, I had food poisoning and vomited in the bathroom. At checkout, they charged me €900 for cleaning the bathroom. It was horrific and inhumane – even though the room was cleaned and we stayed there for a whole week, they claimed they would have to close it in order to clean it. Liars, exploiters, and inhumane."

"What an amazing place , team and area . From the warm welcoming to the great hotel, facilities and food to the great hikes just out if the hotel. Warmly recommend this place to anyone coming to the black forest. "

"We were really disappointed with our stay. The place was not clean at all — we found hair everywhere, which was very off-putting. The bathroom was dirty and had black bits on the floor, making it feel unhygienic. The freezer was also very dirty, with bits of hair inside it — absolutely unacceptable. On top of that, we specifically booked an accommodation with a terrace, but were given a room with no terrace at all. This was misleading and not what we paid for. To make matters worse, we were charged 50 euros for cleaning, which is completely unreasonable considering the state the property was in when we checked in. The only positive aspects of our stay were the spa and the view, which were both very nice. Unfortunately, those few good points didn’t make up for the overall lack of cleanliness and misleading listing. Would not recommend to anyone and specially to ones travelling with kids."
