Dear MarkThank you very much for taking the time to write a review. We are very sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your stay as much as all our other guests do. As we said when we met you in person: "If you need anything please contact us ...". For the benefit of all future guests we would like to mention the following: - We live very close by and if you need anything our contact details are provided on all communication as well as in a black book that you find on the dining table upon arrival. - We can't fix what we don't know so if you have any concerns - please contact us immediately rather than being unhappy and writing negative reviews later when nothing can be changed anymore. It is your holiday and quality time. - It is standard in self contained accommodation to be provided with 1 set of towels for short stays. But again - if you need more a quick message is all it needs. - Our cottage is 100 metres away from a minor rural country road. 80 metres of grape vine rows further dampen any light or noise from the very occasional vehicle on the road. We can't control the traffic on the distant road. We have many comments in reviews though how quiet it is at the cottage and had one or 2 tourists over our almost 10 years of operation who thought it was too quiet for them. - We are all different and some people hear more than others. Some like things that others don't. We are all different in taste and that makes life exciting - but personal taste is generally not made up of facts that are valid for everybody. - In most cases of anything not being quite as expected it might be easier, better and happier for everybody to write us a short note than being unhappy and writing a potentially damaging review for a small family business when your holiday and quality time are over. Hallo Verena. Vielen Dank für den Kommentar und die tolle Bewertung! Gerne würden wir natürlich ein Badezimmer im ersten Stock und vielen weiteren Luxus anbieten. Das kostet aber viel Geld und dann steigt der Preis pro Nacht. Als kleiner Familienbetrieb müssen wir das abwägen und möchten im Moment lieber (jungen) Familien die Möglichkeit erschwinglicher Unterkunft auf dem Weingut geben. Teurere Luxusunterkünfte gibt es da schon viele. Wer nachts raus muss kann das Schlafzimmer im Erdgeschoss nutzen um nicht Treppen steigen zu müssen. Alle Töpfe in der Küche sind nur wenige Tage alt und teure Edelstahl Ausführungen für professionelle Küchen. Die Bratpfanne wird dann demnächst auch ersetzt. Soweit wir sehen können sind alle anderen Utensilien in neuwertigem Zustand. :) Gerne würde ich erwähnen dass wir vieles zur Verfügung stellen das wir auf unseren eigenen Reisen in anderen Unterkünften oft vermissen: Espresso Maschine mit Milchschaeumer, Spülmaschine (Bosch), neue Mikrowelle, Ceran Kochfeld, Ofen, Einheitliches Geschirr und alles was eine Küche benötigt. Zusätzlich stellen wir Kaffee, Tee und sogar Nudeln und Tomatensauce und andere wohl sortierte "Notessen", Gewürze und Oele zur Verfügung die nicht einfach nur vom vorherigen Gast übrig sind. Dann auch noch Waschmaschine (Miele), doppel Spa, Doppel-Dusche, Fußbodenheizung im Bad ... Nochmals besten Dank für die Anregungen und tolle Bewertung. Herzliche Grüsse aus Tasmanien!
