We walked to town, but we also had a car to drive around. If you or a family member has food allergies, this is a great place to stay with a full kitchen. The grocery store is only 10 minutes away. "

"After coming here from Hilton GV, I finally felt welcomed (6 days after my arrival). The staff are professional yet sunny. They are also helpful. The hotel has some free activities (I'm going to learn hula dancing!). There are also plenty of paid activities that originate at this hotel. (I was aboard the Atlantis for the undersea adventure). The hotel has one of the best locations on Hawai'i's west coast. There are plenty of shops & restaurants within walking distance. "

"This place is for the adventurer at heart. If you can’t handle cabin like conditions…interfacing with the wild & the noise displayed by the night critters & beautiful birds singing their hearts away early morning, this is not for you! We even had a gecko that would pop in to have breakfast with us…he loved jelly! The host & staff are very friendly & put out an organic spread for breakfast to start your day. It’s pretty remote out there, but there is an amazing place called the coffee shack a few miles away that has excellent lattes & an amazing menu. It’s very busy, but worth the wait. We rented a 4x4 jeep & went off roading & it was a magnificent experience. Made it out to the Green Beach which was absolutely worth the rough ride."

"We stayed in the building close to the Check-In office and the main pool, it was easy to get in and unpacked with little to do running around, with Keauhou Shopping center right up the road you really didn’t need to drive into town to get the simple stuff. The property is amazing and a sense of privacy with midnight security always on duty and welcoming. I Would definitely stay here again"
