"Beautiful property exactly as pictured. Prepare to walk up the stairs with luggage. Google map gave us better walking route from parking to the property: It was 14 minutes when there was no heavy pedestrian traffic (Venice style lol) nor heavy luggage."

The safe in the room was not working and I raised this with reception but they were unable to fix. Several lights and the fan in the bathroom were also not working. The hotel is excellently located and the staff were very friendly and helpful"

"We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Montecarlo! The hotel is in a wonderful, central location close to Piazza San Marco. The staff was helpful, always ready to answer questions or give advice on local restaurants, things to do, etc. We had them arrange a water taxi for us to go to the airport, and it was an exceptionally smooth process. They even helped us transport our luggage to the water taxi. We never had breakfast or afternoon tea at the hotel, so I can't give an opinion on those. I would definitely stay at the Hotel Montecarlo again and recommend it to others. "

"Great location as a home base to visit Venice for a few days. It's an old building with lots of character, wonderful staff, beautiful details, just abit more than a hostel and way more privacy, best location too. Highly recommend to solo or couple travelers as well."
