Sheraton Kagoshima is new & clean. Room size is good for Japan standard. There is a shuttle bus running to the Kagoshima Station. Which is actually walkable if you have 20 minutes. Overall an enjoyable stay. And there is an onsen at site.

Located far from city, near a port. Check-in was fast and staff were polite and friendly. Room was of good size with 2 single and a bunk bed for 3 adults. Comfortable and clean. Breakfast was simple Japanese fare but excellent quality and service. Parking was convenient with attached multi-storey carpark. Just that its a little far.

A very good hotel. A most wonderful experience. Room was comfortable. Onsen was awesome - the size and the space. Sand bath was an interesting experience - quite fun to do as a family. The highlight was the kaiseki dinner - delicious.
