True 5-Star Experience

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Kempinski. I love that it's connected to Grand Indonesia from the hotel lobby. Breakfast spread was tremendous, service was top notch. The tub in the room might be the biggest I have ever seen! I am definitely planning to do a staycation here again.

Disappointing Experience — Not What I’d Expect from a 5-Star Hotel From the moment we checked in, our experience was far below expectations for a hotel of this standard. The staff member at check-in charged us an amount higher than what was confirmed in our booking — and did so without disclosing it. We only realized later that we had signed for the original amount while being charged extra. When we raised the issue, the explanation was that it was a “mistake,” but the lack of transparency was concerning. On the second attempt, the correct amount was finally displayed on the card machine, but the experience left us uneasy. Breakfast was another disappointment. Despite being a supposedly 5-star establishment, we were made to wait an unreasonably long time to be seated — something I’ve never encountered at a hotel of this calibre. For a brand of this reputation, I’d expect better organisation and guest service. Overall, the hotel fell short in professionalism and service quality. A disappointing stay that could have been avoided with better staff training and clearer communication.

Very friendly the manager. We got problem with the key room that made us back and forth from the room to the lobby. But eventually they upgrade fhe room and get complimentary of free extra bed and breakfast. Thanks for the nice service. Very satisfied and happy.

The employees are highly respectful and very friendly, and this is no surprise considering the nature of the good people of Indonesia..The hotel never lived up to the five star rating… the towels were overly used and has changed colour, carpets are dirty … even the coffee was bad as we had to have our coffee in the morning outside the hotel … overall it was an unpleasant experience

It's 3-Star Hotel

The carpet on the floor of the guest room corridor was dirty throughout. And the breakfast was not tasty enough to be a 5-star hotel, and there was not enough variety. The hair dryer outlet in the bathroom was broken, the room lights could only be turned on and off with the master switch, which was inconvenient, and the TV had to be unplugged and reset each time before it could be viewed properly.
