"What I like is the breakfast, ev car charging, and stuff. What I didn’t like is the apartment we stayed in was not very well insulated from the outside city noise, you can hear almost everything."

"I asked for a quiet room, but it was quite the opposite. It is an old hotel 115 years old to be exact. It has a ton of character but when you have four people staying above you in a room, it’s quite noisy. The floor creeks a lot and you can hear every movement. Very noisy ! It was the weekend, so there was lots of ambulances and firetrucks from midnight until about 1 AM. I advise you to choose the top floor to stay in, but view advise. There is no elevator in this hotel. They are very helpful and help you with bags. My bathroom smelled like sewer. I told them about it. They didn’t seem too worried.. The breakfast is excellent in the restaurant, homemade potatoes and thick cut bacon "

"I upgraded my reservation from traditional room to suite with 1 bedroom. The room was clean and well maintained. The only inconvenience we had during our stay was the power tripping in our unit/room. Every time we used the water kettle, power will shut off in the unit, happened 5x (AM and Evening). Staff told us, we can’t use water kettle and the portable AC at the same time which is very unusual for this 3-star hotel rated wonderful on reviews. Breakfast was exceptional, love the ambience, Vista 18 elevated restaurant located on the 18th floor of the Chateau Hotel. Overall, the experience was good. "

"Wonderful place to stay while in Victoria. Warm, clean and inviting room, with old fashioned furnishings and decor throughout the property. Breakfast was excellent and the place is convenient for walking, whether to downtown or along the waterfront. "
