A seasoned hotel, yet I still feel refreshed

I always feel that this hotel has its own unique way of welcoming guests be it from the entrance right up to the room. the receptionist has offered a best gesture with fast check-in & lovely smile, and the room looks dated in terms of the decor but it's becoming authentic but surprisingly clean & refreshed. I love the spaciousness of the room with their comfy bathroom & the bed. Not to mention, the hotel convenient location & easy access parking is another plus point. Worth every money spent!

Excellent stay as usual...I always choose this hotel for my monthly getaway.....though on the Older side as compared to the other 4 stars around....but the friendliness of the staff that make you want to come back time again......

Most wonderful stay and people ever...

The mutiara Johor Bahru and the staff from front desk, restaurants, room services, and bellmen were the most helpful, welcoming in every way and professional that made my stay so easy in managing all the things I had to cover while in JB. Special help needed was so kindly provided by Viegnas, doorman, and Azim, front desk on info on bus transit and even helping me to station on his day off! Rarely does one find such staff generous with their time....I believe all travelers no matter why they visit JB would enjoy the convenience , surroundings, swimming pool and garden. And cake stand in lobby! And the wonderful staff every hour of the day. Mahalo Nui

Overall room n staff service is fine BUT in room toilet is very old n need serious upgrading..wall with crack lines, some parts of bath tub got little bits of chip off here n there.. worst one is the undersized toilet seat that totally looks like it doesn't belong to the toilet bowl .. way too small so part of the toilet bowl rim was exposed.. so it's like seating half on the toilet seat n the iothet half on the toilet bowl rim..

The hotel has all the trappings of a 4-5 star hotel, but its age has started to show. The room ventilation is below standard, the air was damp, as were the beds. The breakfast is good for a halal place, the staff is friendly and efficient with good English. The neighbourhood is safe but dirty, the location has become the backwaters of tourism for others than car owners from Singapore arriving for cheap maintenance and repairs to their vehicles.

A year end holiday getaway trip

Quick check in and reception was friendly. Room was clean, not well equipped so you need to ask for your toiletries from their housekeeping. Room was a little old. Happy with the window facing as we got to see the New Year Fireworks from the different hotels opposite ours.

Took the suite and selected twin bed but when upon checked in, the staff said the twin suite only have smoking floor . King bed then got non smoking floor . Should be more specific and also why only twin is a smoking floor only . Also my sister’s room, the air cond got problem so got to switch room. Stayed around 4-5 times and this time round it was disappointing.
