Location is good as it’s just opposite a department store. Room & restaurant are small and as a result guests are required to queue during breakfast hours. Breakfast spread wasn’t fantastic but quality acceptable. Staff don’t really speak English so it’s hard to communicate to them. Parking is JPY 1k per night if you’re a guest at the hotel.

Though not so near to the central train station, the hotel is close to one of the airport shuttle bus stop and ferry port with quite location, clean room and nice staff.

Hotel is centrally located with payed parking adjacent. Room was manageable ;but pretty squeezed. We didn't have breakfast as it was Japanese style only.

Good service
The bed was too small for us. Service was excellent. The location was good—right across from Yamagataya department store where we had lunch. We took a street car to get to the Kagoshima Chuo train station.

The hotel is a solid choice, given the lack of 5 stars hotel in the city. Location is excellent, lots of eateries and a huge mall can be reached on foot. Rooms and bathrooms are clean, aircon works very well. Food in the hotel (breakfeast and dinner) is high quality.

Location is easy to find just Few minutes walk from the subway. Staffs are helpful and room is clean. Breakfast is included in the price,. we have a very early fight, the breakfast voucher can redeem for meal at dinner time. I will come back and stay with this chain again.

Excellent location
Line was extremely long for breakfast on Sunday. The entire lobby was full of guests waiting to be seated, seems to be a combination of not enough staff cleaning up after those who left & more guests on Sunday. Waited almost half an hour to have breakfast! Otherwise the location of the hotel was excellent as well as the front desk service personnel.

Amazing stay! Staff are professional, courteous, helpful and very kind. The location is very convenient. Hotel looks wonderful and the room is very clean. My wife and I stayed at the Richmond Hotel Kagoshima Kinseicho for four nights in April. The room was large by Japanese standards with two double beds and a small couch. We asked for a quiet room, and the room was really quiet, facing the interior rather than the busy street with tram lines. We took breakfast all four days in the restaurant, and the buffet was good. They do have on-premises parking at a reasonable cost. Also the laundry facilities on the 3rd floor were clean and there were enough machines so we didn't have a problem. Instructions are in basic English, so we could figure it out. This hotel makes an excellent base for exploring Sakurajima and the sites on the Satsuma Peninsula (Chiran, Makurazaki, Lake Ikeda, and Ibusuki). Hotel staff were excellent. Probably the only thing lacking at Richmond Hotels is an onsen, which is a major drawback. The small in-room toilet and bath are functional, but it's not the same as a good, long soak in an onsen bath.

Overall a perfect place to visit Kagoshima. The only thing negative is the parking fee is about high. There are many other paid parking space within a few minutes walk. The one adjoining the hotel charged just half of the fee for overnight parking

The best budegt western style hotel in my life
In fact, I have been travelling a number of countries and towns over the past two years and I do admit this is the best hotel I had ever stayed in term of budget wise and overall quality of hotel services and goods. You won't get wrong by staying at this hotel if you visit kagoshima. Definitely, 10 out of 10. No joke.

GREAT QUALITY AND LOCATION
Excellent hotel. Easy check in and check out. Welcome drink. A bargain for the quality. Small but clean rooms with all essential facilities. Would (and will) happily stay there again). Does what it says on the tin. High ratings are well deserved. Location just in front of tram car stop so easy if you are taking the train from main station.

Choice of beer for welcome drink. You can takeout coffee after your breakfast. What can you say?! Food is delicious with choice of main. Restaurant has limited space so it is quiet. Location is good. Ease of check out. Everything is great!

Airport bus stop is very very close to hotel entrance. Safe surroundings.Nice room. .i esp. like the 'Pola En Juillet' series of shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided. the room is too warm ~ but we could borrow an electric fan from Front Desk., many eateries / pharmacy nearby. if u do not mind walking, it's possible to walk to the Pier to take a ferry to Sakurajima..(20 mins). also possible to walk (30 mins) to Kagoshima Fish Market to enjoy sushi set. need to take a tram to Kagoshima Central Station (although we did try to walk) overall a pleasant stay~
