"Although it is a little bit far away from the station, you can easily get a taxi from the Shintoku station. Also , the staff are nice and the Onsen is also good experience. The snow scene is beautiful at the breakfast point. "

Quiet and soothing location on the foothills of ski slopes . Kitchen is very thoughtfully stocked with pots and pans , cups and even salt and pepper and soya sauce . Even toaster, kettle, coffee machine , rice cooker , fridge, microwave are all provided in the room . Views are breathtaking. There is a washing machine and even soap is provided. Size of rooms and bathrooms are really big in comparison to general Japanese hotels .Many supermarkets are a within a 2 min driving distance .No...

Absolutely brilliant hotel. Extremely helpful staff. Terrific Fitness Center. A wonderful room with plenty of space to actually unpack (sometimes rare in Japanese hotel rooms), comfortable bedding, and a state-of-the-art bathroom. Breakfast revolved around locally grown food. It was both tasty and interesting. My guess is that the place really shines during ski season with its spa, fireplace in the central bar area and location. Only downside was that there is construction going and the hotel...

We loved our stay! This was perhaps the most thoughtfully designed house I’ve stayed in. For example, a bathroom with a seat and grab bar (great for anyone sore after a long day, not just seniors); a compact drying rack that somehow fits a full load of laundry; subtle black-cat decor that adds a cute touch but doesn’t clash with the wooden farmhouse aesthetic.
Our favourite part of our stay was interacting with Kyoko-san, who runs the place solo yet is always cheerful and available when you...
