We went for day trips to black & green sand beaches, volcano national park for the day, Mauna Kea visitor center /hikes!! Great 4 day trip location & rent a car so worth it. Plenty of food spots to eat - parking is expensive in downtown Kona. Look for lots where the scan code has the restaurant you are going to and ask for validation to reduce costs of parking!!! "
