"Nice property, our go to anytime we stay on the Big Island. It's in a great location near Kona, the airport, and a lot of activities. There are a lot of things to do at the property as well, including a pool, volleyball courts, grills, etc. The room is very spacious. It has a full sized kitchen, washer/dryer, dining room, and living room. It also has nice sized rooms and bathrooms."

"The front desk overcharged me when checking out and was super rude when sorting it out. I confirmed every single expense and credit one by one, did the exact calculation right in front of the lady, and the lady kept saying my calculation was wrong. Finally, someone else came to help and sorted it out. NO APOLOGIES at all the entire process. She made me feel it was my mistake not theirs. Front desk assistant should at least graduate from elementary school to do simple math. The elevator close to parking lot was very stinky. Room was with carpet so smelt wet during rainy weather. Will never come back again to this property! So disappointing."

"Check in was the worst! Arrived in the evening and although the front desk clerk tried to give directions to the building/room it was impossible to find. Very POOR lighting so bad I fell on the walkway! The room was clean and spacious Cute sign instructing to remove shoes but the carpet had nails that we all stepped on and cut our feet Swimming pool was closed for maintenance and the next one next to us was empty A nice complimentary Hula Show was an added plus"

"When I booked our stay at Gingerhill, I had no idea what to expect outside of an experience that would be unlike the typical room and board my partner and I are accustomed to. I can honestly say that this may be one of the most special stays that we have had the pleasure of experiencing. Falling asleep to the sounds of the forest in the Jungle Canopy and cohabiting alongside nature allowed us to seclude and connect in between adventures on the island. A charming, intimate, and surprisingly comfortable stay, we will be returning to this special place and recommend it to anyone who is open to connecting with the beautiful nature of the island. "
