California Hotel is Budget Freindly. The customer Service was spot on. Rooms small but was bot a issue for 3 of us. My wife is 27 weeks Prgnent and she was comfortable

Terrible hotel
One of the worst places I have ever stayed in.Have played less and d had better.Room was immature and shower had toilet in cubicle. Bed was tiny and wallpaper dirty and mouldy..Should be taken off expedia list they should have a look at it..I did not comlain because all the rooms were probably the same and didn't want to spoil my holiday.

My personal experience was quite disappointing. Particularly because I stayed here on a Saturday night when the prices went up everywhere, so I felt like I paid too much for what I got in return. The good: The place was very close to MTR station right in the city centre. Many shopping malls, eateries, museums, ferry terminals, were all in walking distance. But then again, it's not as if there's only few places around here to choose from. The bad: The room. This was my 5th time to Hong Kong and I've had a few stays in Tsim Sha Tsui, so I learned to expect tiny but well-maintained rooms with good services. This room, even with a free upgrade to two bigger beds, was still tiny but there are visible signs of neglect here and there. In the middle of the night there were loud noises like from a malfunctioned machine somewhere in the building that kept me awake for hours. The best thing I could say about the place apart from the location is the front personnel. My check-in was done quickly, and he seemed eager to help keep my luggages for a few hours after check-out. That said, I don't think I will come back here again.

The room is just okay but poor customer service!
We paid for 4 pax yet their service water is just good for two when we asked for 4 bottles they were reluctant to give us then. When we asked at an early morning for a new set of bottles for coffee the staff said "Too fast huh! Not now. Too early!" I dont know if we hust misinterpreted their way of language towards us but I hope they know what "GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE" is. However, they are hotel staff so they must know appropriate customer services handling because even if they cant clearly speak english well at least they know how to communicate well with a clear and soft tone of voices. Please.

Certainly Not As Presented on Wotif
The room was a disgrace, nothing like presented on Wotif . Paint peeling of the wall mould around bathroom entry the air conditioning unit remote control missing only way to operate is turn on from the unit itself and then there is no way to adjust the temperature. I complained and requested a room change response was we are very busy after making a deal they agreed to move me to a more acceptable room the next day. The new room was OK and acceptable for the price paid. The female manager was quite rude on one of the days the building lift was not working and there was no sign to say it was not working I asked the female manager how to get down and she just pointed in the direction of the goods life and mumbled garden which I did not understand, I had to ask her 5 times before I understood what she was actually saying. Overall all is was just OK however had I not been moved from the first nights room I would have checked out and booked another hotel.

(+) staff are friendly tries to help but no resource/knowledge about HKG (-) very small room, really small even no space to keep luggage. (-) very small toilet. Really small. No space to even move. (-) only one plug point to change between kettle and chargers

GOLDEN CROWN COURT
THE GOLDEN CROWN COURT SIGNAGE IS TOO SMALL TO BE NOTICABLE. OVERALL THE LOCATION IS GREAT AND CHECK IN STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. DURING BATH HOTEL WATER FLOW WAS INCONSISTENT.

Non functional bathroom floor plan
The shower head to take a shower was essentially just above the sink next to the toilet. You have to basically have no choice but to take a dump and shower at the same time. The beds weren’t even real beds. Like futon. You can hear your neighbors, no privacy.

Basically cheapest accommodation in Hong Kong. Get what u pay for. V Cramped, hard beds, old and decrepit. Cheapest around. Expect nothing more.

Budget
I had a room for 6 people. The room had 3 bed which was what i asked for, however, the toilet was too small for even the slightest movement. Stuffs were not fixed and the doors were really noisy, could hear car passing in the middle of the night. made a complain and got to change to the room on another level which was a lot better in comparison. It would be alright to stay if you are having a budget trip to HK however, would get another hotel if i were to choose.

You only get what you pay for!
The room was small and the bed narrow. However, I knew the dimensions of the room but had not actually thought what that represented. The 'hotel' is on the 4th floor of a 10 story building. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the 'hotel' is well situated in Kowloon.

Horrible. Smoke free room, whole floor smelled like cigarettes, smoke from other rooms was flowing into our room, my wife has asthma. it was absolutely horrible. we only stayed one night out of the two nights we booked. we would not recommend to someone that does not smoke.

Convenient, great location and better security!
Great location and better security than the rest. Rooms are generally tiny in all TST budget hotels hence security is a critical decision factor. Sound proof is bad so let's hope you won't have noisy neighbors. Nice and reasonable budget hotel!

One of the worst hotels in the world outdated poor quality the neighborhood is disgusting people selling knockoffs "drugs" :( small room needs urgent a makeover and of course paint don't even have a proper lobby

Do not book on this hotel. You have been warned.
We rented 4 rooms in this hotel and stayed for 4 nights and everyday is an awful experience. I will list everything down below: - Rude staff 1. Room cleaners (except for this one lady room cleaner). Around 10am in the morning this 1 guy room cleaner will come knock on your door asking you to hurry up as he needs to clean the room. I politely told him that I will tell him if it's ready a. He walked away murmuring some words. I was trying to keep my patience as I don't want to make any scene in front of the kids (Im travelling with 4 kids - 2 toddlers) - Rude staff 2. The receptionist. Receptionist smokes in the AIRCONDITIONED lobby with no regards to guests. Once you come out the lift you can already smell the strong cigarette smoke. If you try to ask questions about nearby place, expect some sarcastic answers. I'm not sure if this is because english is not their primary language or they are just downright rude - Broken Toilet in 1 of the rooms. Flush did not work for the whole duration of our stay. I demanded a room change but there are no rooms available as per them. I was thinking of a refund and booking to a different hotel but it is too late and time consuming to do and arguing with the rude staffs will just ruin our holiday so we resorted to use the other room's toilet instead - Small rooms/toilet. Expect very small rooms. This is expected because of the price - Small lift. Hotel is located on the 4th floor of an old building and the lift can barely fit 6 adults

The worst hotel I've ever stayed in ever!! Room was as small as my broom closet at home. I wouldn't stay here if I was paid let alone pay the super high fee they charged for one night. Avoid at all cost!!

Hong Kong Trip
The trip was good. the rooms of the hotel were too small. Not good at all for a family of 2 adult and 2 kids. Bathroom also very small. we came to the room only in night to take a shower and sleep and hence managed as the total amount was paid.

Small but cheap for quick stop over in Hong Kong
Room very small, had to sit in toilet to shower which made me giggle. All up though it suited my requirements for a cheap quick stop over. Room clean, hot shower and hotel terrace to sit outside. Staff pleasant enough. Area close to train station and sightseeing. Don't stay here if you want a room large enough to swing a cat.

Very convenience to travel around the Island.
Staff are friendly and helpful. We can juz move about like in our own house. The house keeping team are very efficient and helpful and friendly. Location is really good. Like an octopus, easy to move about in Hong Kong and mainlands. You will never lost your way coz its in the centre of busy city. Though may be bit noise coz of the traffic but all in all my family enjoy the stay there.

spent 4nights with baby cockroaches crawling in the room. poor sound proof. poor service from the night duty staff, saw one soft spoken guest being served rudely. must present firm then that night duty lady will treat u averagely
